Noah Grills Butterflies

I never liked butterflies; well, I've never liked bugs, and butterflies are just bugs with wings. I know it sounds crazy, but I swear, they fly right at me. (*shudder*)

What do you think of whenever you see a butterfly?

Beverly at How Sweet the Sound hosts a Pink Saturday. She had a terrific idea to feature something pink on her Saturday posts, and then she invited others to join her with their own pink items. I just participated for the first time this past Saturday, and it was fun.

My favorite color is blue. So, I thought, "why not have a Blue Monday?"

Every Monday, I'll have a blue post, starting tomorrow, and I'd like to invite you to participate. All you need do is:

1. Post about something blue on your blog. It can be pretty, ugly, funny, old, or new as long as it's blue.

2. Drag the Blue Monday button from here, and place it on your blog.

3. Return here and leave your URL (blog link, or address to your blog) in the comment area. (I will have a Mr. Linky installed.)

4.
Visit other blue participants by simply clicking on their links.

Sound like fun? Gather up your blue items and we'll play together.

  1. I've never met a person who doesn't like blue, although I have met some who don't like pink, so I think you should do well with this project! Your butterfly thought made me remember yesterday when I stepped outside briefly, and within two seconds, a cicada flew into my hair and face. You would have thought it had acid on it the way I was screaming and flapping around. Not fun. But I do feel differently about butterflies.

  2. Funny cartoon. In my kindergarten class we watch caterpillars change into butterflies. One year we released them into the garden. One of them landed on a child and instinctively the child slapped their arm and killed it :(

I'll look through my photos and see what I can find blue to post!

    take care,
    Dawn

  5. I have a passion flower plant in my yard. It is one of the two plants that catapillars in our area will eat, thus turning into beautiful butterflies. I love the butterflies but hate the spiney looking worms I get beforehand.

I will check and see if I have anything blue....surely I do. Have a great week.

  6. Oh, my, Sweet Sally...I have TONS of blue at my cottage...just everywhere you look. I have so many collections of dishes and etc that are blue and white. This will be a fun thing for me to do, so
    COUNT ME IN,friend.
I am taking your button over to my sidebar right now..so it will remind me about Blue Monday. There's so many things going on, one has to choose what they like the best, I think.
    Happy day,
    bj

  7. Sally, thank you for your advice and uplifting comments on my post today. I have very little blue here, but count me in for tomorrow. Blues have turned to greens in my decor. Green relates to blue though.

I am feeling better each day and I am exercising believe me. I know it is the secret of knee replacement success. It is painful. sigh!

I will come back with my URL and I hope it will be what you want. I am computer challenged if you didn't know. smile.
    Love...Jeanne

  11. Afternoon, Sally! Oh, I just love butterflies. I think you're the first person I've heard of who doesn't like those little beauties! lol

I would love to play blue, but I already have my post up and it's long tomorrow. I'm apologizing for waiting so long to play the tag game from you, but it will be up tomorrow. I'm not very interesting and don't have anything too off to tell. I guess I could make up stuff, yes, that's what I'll do next time I'm tagged. lol

    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  14. Sally,
    Please email me at e_bogardus@hotmail.com

    I have a question!

  15. I get excited when I see a butterfly, but I feel the same way as you when they get up close. I went to an exhibition at a museum once where there was a (big) room full of butterflies. They all flew around and landed on you, and you had to be careful not to squash any. It was terrifying!

  16. Great cartoon! Actually, butterflies are about the only "bugs" I do like. I think Noah should have done us all a favor and dumped all the other ones.

  18. Lolz. I not only "dislike" moths. I'm absolutely terrified of them! My younger brother has been many times pulled from a deep sleep to "remove" them from my bed room, while I sob in terror...

  19. Now I'm going to think about your funny cartoon when I see a butterfly next. ;)

Although really I think of the very hungry caterpillar children's book.
