Beverly at how sweet the sound hosts Pink Saturday. Stop by her place to see the many other pink items people are sharing.
My granddaughter, Jenna, telephoned and asked me to take her to practice her driving. She's fifteen years old and has her Learner's Permit. I asked her to wear something pink so that I could take a Pink Saturday picture. She struck a pose in her pretty pink shirt.
Notice the pretty pink pearls? That's a vintage necklace from my jewelry box. Jenna borrowed them from me several years ago. I told her she could borrow them as long as she wanted, but truthfully, I never thought she'd want them this long! Don't they look pretty around her neck? It pleases me that she like some of the same things I like.
Although she's only been out practicing her driving five other times, Jenna is already a good driver. She keeps both hands on the wheel and makes excellent turns. She drove smoothly and hardly jerked at all.
At the end of our time together, Jenna said that she loves to drive and was still raring to go, but I was stick-a-fork-in-me-I'm-done! I hope she telephones me for another driving practice time together.
Happy Pink Saturday!

Even the car looks somewhat pink in the picture. It takes a brave person to ride with someone learning to drive. My mom was that brave person. Not only with us, but with neighbor kids too and my kids. I did ride with my kids when they were learning to drive. I think that is where I got some of my gray hairs. Ha! Happy Pink Saturday.
ReplyDeleteHow nice that you got to be part of this milestone with your grand daughter! I love too that she likes your jewelry. My 20 year old daughter wears my jewelry all the time too! Happy Pink Saturday! Suzie

Sally, Your granddaughter is so pretty in pink. I love her expression with the keys. I am not sure I would be a good instructor for my granddaughters driving lessons. They are not old enough to drive yet. But soon. sigh. I will be a wreck when they are.
