Pink Saturday - Dancing with the Stars

Beverly at How Sweet the Sound hosts Pink Saturday. Stop by her place to see the many other pink items people are sharing.

I love watching Dancing with the Stars. It's on every Monday and Tuesday nights. I have a close friend who lives in Jackson, Mississippi, and I telephone her on those nights so that we can watch the show together. We visit during the commercials, and mute our telephones when the show comes back on. Our husbands actually put up with this!

The costumes are amazing, and I've noticed that pink is often worn. Of course, that made me think of Pink Saturday.

From an earlier episodes this season:

Maurice Greene and Cheryl Burke. She's my favorite professional dancer. She's won the trophy in two of the past seasons!

The photo above is Inna Brayer and Ted McGinley--he left the show waaay too early, as far as I'm concerned.

Here are Kim Kardashian and Mark Ballas--she's been voted off.

Striking a pose is Tony Dovolani with Susan Lucci, a soap-opera star.

The following pictures are from this past week:

Lacey Schwimmer and Lance Bass have irritated one of the judges.

Rocco DiSpirito and Karina Smirnoff were spared this week because Misty Mae was injured and forced to leave the show.

Cloris Leachman, who at age 82 can do what I cannot! She's funny, and that talent is what's keeping her on the program. She cannot dance, but she can extend that leg, crack jokes, and bounce around, especially in low-cut dresses!

Here's Derek Hough and Brooke Burke--I think that she could go all the way.

Kym Johnson and Warren Sapp--this large football player can dance so gracefully. You have to be in awe. He might go all the way. (If you're keeping count, that's two who I think can win this thing.)

Reminders:
  1. I'm giving away three books. Look over at my sidebar.
  2. Remember Blue Monday is fast approaching. Come and play!
  3. Happy Pink Saturday!

  8. I'm not a big fan of reality shows, but I think it's great that you watch the show with your friend. My best friend lives 6 hours away and sometimes it is difficult to find time to share together. But this gives me hope. =)

  9. Sally, I LOVE your pink post today. I don't know how you managed to get everyone in Pink and remember all the names. I NEVER miss this show. My friend Beverly refuses to watch this show and I can't imagine why. I sooo believe Brook will win this time. Cheryl is one of my favorites too. I almost always pick the winner each year. I picked Emmett over Mario because he had a huge fan base and was also amazing when he danced. Besides we watched Emmett play football for the Gators. Oh boy, I will never get through the pink list today if I don't stop writing. Looks like you grabbed me this PS.

    Hugs...Jeanne

  10. Sally, I had to come back because I just saw Beverly's comment. She is busted!!!lol.

If she sees my comment I will be busted. I told the truth. I don't think I have to worry, she is trying to respond to 110+ Pinkies today. I can't stop laughing. By the way I am feeling better, thank God. Now we have to see if my knee will be OK. Thanks again for your prayers and for understanding what this all means.

    Hugs again...Jeanne

  22. Thanks for the visit! I think Brooke Burke should win...she is amazing! Those costumes are AMAZING! I have had the pleasure of wearing some in my own ballet career....works of art! The artists do not get enough credit for making them that is for sure!

Very creative thinking for Pink Sat! I'll talk about costumes any give day!

  28. I'm a not a viewer of the program, however, I like to hear about the results. I was hoping that Susan Lucci from All My Children would make it to the end. I was glad to hear that Kim K. was one of the first to go. I hope that's not to mean of me....Happy Pink Saturday, anyway! ~ Robyn

  31. I saw you comment on my wife's blog about posting on Spiritual Sundays. Let me try to "tempt" you again. Do it! As we read through all the serious, spiritual "stuff" we need a little humor. Post your church cartoon or joke. I think we all need a smile.

  42. I LOVE that show! Warren amazes me with how graceful a big guy can be. I can't figure out why Len is so dang grumpy about Lacey and Lance (I'm a big Lacey fan from when she was on "so you think you can dance" my other favorite show)
And I think you're right...Brooke is the best dancer. And what is up with Susan Lucci's boobs...sheeesh she looks so strange!

I thoroughly enjoyed your Pink Saturday. Such lovely shades of pink. But most magnificent of all are the gowns themselves. Even in still photos, the way they flare make them appear alive...like they could jump into motion at any moment. Very nice post. Thank you. :-)
