Beverly at How Sweet the Sound hosts Pink Saturday. Stop by her Place to see the many other Pretty Pink items that Precious Pink Participating People are Putting on display.
Today, I want to show you my Pink porch floor. When my house was built, the concrete did not "set" correctly before it rained. Therefore, where some rain fell, it pockmarked the concrete. To compensate, the builder put this finish on the porch.
I choose Pink without thinking that it would turn out to be double bubble gum Pink.
I've lived with it for thirteen years, but now there's a crack that has formed on the porch.
I need to attend to it. So, I'm going to repair and repaint. I will choose another color. Bye-bye, Pink!
The view of your backyard is beautiful. Love the water. The pink floor isn't so bad, made me want to blow some bubbles. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy PS
Kris

I can just feel that Florida humidity from looking at your porch pics! I kind of miss it. lol
ReplyDeleteI like your pink porch! happy p.s. and happy birthday to your son.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday, Sally. I hope you are enjoying the holiday season.
ReplyDeleteI love your pink patio floor, and looking at your pictures makes me a bit homesick. It is just like looking out the window in our old home.
I vote for keeping the pink. ;-)
Pink for some reason reminds me of Florida....I like it.
ReplyDeleteI really like your Talk To Me widget on you side panel that is so darn cute.
Happy New year to you and your family.
Sondra
Happy Pink Saturday! Your pictures make me want to be there in Florida visiting my son and his family. I know this time of the year is a great time to be there. So far our visits to him have been in November(twice), February(once) and in March(twice). The February visit was the best time. But then that was for their wedding. So that made it special. Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteHi Sally, This is Donna's daughter, jennifer, I just love your porch view, with the thunderstoms we are having right now with the threat of tornados...I would really love to be in Florida right now drinking some lemonade and feeling the wonderful breeze...I absolutely love the pink but I know what you mean when you have a chance to change something like that, it can be exciting....well till later bye bye and Happy Holidays, thanks for visiting my new blog...
ReplyDeleteThat is bubble gum pink! I think it should be BLUE! :D Medium Sky Blue. I have some paint that color. It is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful view from your pink porch. I could put my exercise machine out there and have a beautiful view to enjoy while burning calories HaHa.
ReplyDeleteJudy
Sally,
ReplyDeleteIt's cute....Beautiful scenery you have from the porch....Great post...Happy Pink Sautrday...Come on over to see the pink flamingo...think you would like it....
Oh, I like the floor. Can't you keep it pink? Have a wonderful holiday and New Year - it looks so pleasant in your photo!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Sally. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
ReplyDeleteYour pink concrete is a good look for Florida. I do see why you would be ready for a change after 13 years. What color are you thinking about?
You have a lovely porch and view. The plants remind me of when we lived in Fl. I have to bring plants in for the winter here. It is kind of a pain. I wouldn't trade where I live though.
Hugs...Jeanne
That looks like a beautiful view - who notices the floor? Sally
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely view from your porch. That bubble gum surely brings back memories!
ReplyDeleteSal, I adore your "sun room" and I used to chew Fleer's "Double Bubble" gum by the handful when I was a kid. I would love to have a sun room like that for these cold snowy days here in the west.
ReplyDeleteThank you, my lovely chick, for visiting with me on pink saturday....gonna go visit more people now........
Smooches,
Connie
What a wonderful view from your porch! I'm sure you are out there a lot. I think you will miss the pink but change is always good. :) Let us know what you decide. Happy PS and New Year!
ReplyDeleteLove the view! Makes me want to leave the gloomy south day we are having. Oh how about teal for the new floor. :-) Goes great with pink! HPS!
ReplyDeleteOh, I think the pink is pretty. I can see how you would be a little tired of it though. Before we bought our house we made a down payment on a new house that had pink carpeting throughout. Later we found the house that we live in now and got our down payment back on the first house. How glad I have been ever since. Even though I love pink I know I wouldn't want it on the floor in every room for years to come. God was watching over us again.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday.
Charlotte
Thank your for visiting my place today! Oh I enjoy your pink porch! Can't wait to see how you redo it! Blessings, Shay

Hi Sally,
ReplyDeleteWell I love the pink porch! My porch is red, I thought I hated it until I had hubby paint it a different color....well, we both took one look and painted it right back to the original red. At least now I know I like it. Good luck with yours!!
Hope you are having a great weekend, it's always nice to see your comments as I go visiting around Pink Saturday.
Happy Pink Saturday!

I just love your pink porch. What a beautiful place to sit and watch the sun rise or go down. So pretty. I wouldn't change a thing either.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday Sal! Hey, why not change it?
ReplyDeletereally? you are going to paint it? i surely understand the desire for change (as a designer i would be out of business if no one wanted change!) LOL but, if the color itself is the reason to change...then personal choice and go for it. if it is the crack, wow, i would just do a faux stone motif and use the real crack, after the patch as your jumping off point.
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see what you come up with!
Your yard is so pretty, I even like the color of the cement : ) Happy Pink Saturday.
ReplyDeleteKathy
