1. Post about something blue on your blog. It can be pretty, ugly, funny, old, or new as long as it's blue. Leave a link to this blog on your post.
2. Place the Blue Monday button on the top of your post so that people can easily spot it. Place another Blue Monday button on the sidebar of your blog.
3. Return here and link in with Mr. Linky by leaving your name and the Permalink to your post. To create a Permalink, click on your Blue Monday post title and copy all the stuff in the http window. It is a longer address so that people can find your post even later in the week--whenever they get a chance to visit. For those who just can't wait, Mr. Linky will be up after midnight!
Do NOT link in until after your post is up.
4. Visit other Blue participants by clicking on their links. Make someone's day; leave a comment. I appreciate it when you take the time to leave a comment for me.
5. Check back later to make certain you visit all the Blue participants. (That's why the Permalink is so important.)

Today I have three dishes that hang on my dining room wall to share. They were quite difficult to photograph as there's a good bit of gold on them, and it tends to show up brown or black. There is no brown or black in any of these plates. This is another gift from my mom. She handed them down to me, and got to see me display them to enjoy in this spot.
This is is largest and the most blue. Of course, it's my favorite. (You knew that, didn't you?)
Then, there are two matching, smaller plates. They have less blue, more green.
Please check out the book giveaways in my sidebar. I do hope that Blue Monday people win!

ReplyDeleteGreat 'blue' post, Sally... Those gorgeous plates remind me of a little restaurant where we used to eat in Sarasota, FL.. They had beautiful plates all over the walls... AND they had the best grouper I've ever eaten.

Hugs,
Betsy

ReplyDeleteThe colors are bright and delightful...I do totally understand the gold trim and highlights hard to photograph!...
ReplyDeleteBut I think you did just dandy!
These plates are beautiful! I have trouble photographing anything metallic also. do you edit your pictures after you take them? Sometimes a color enhancement works.
ReplyDeleteVERY beautiful plates you've got! :-) I have a similar one that I bought in spain.... I think they're lovely!
ReplyDeleteMonica
Happy Blue Monday !
ReplyDeleteThose plates look so pretty hanging on the wall. Made me think about a plate my Mom always had on her wall, it was a gold rimmed plate with little circles with a president's picture in the circle. I used to think it was hidous, do you know what I'd give to get the plate now.I would surely hang that plate on my wall now. :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Chris

ReplyDeleteYour plates are lovely and have wonderful detail.
ReplyDeleteCurious... my link back to here took me to last week's post.... I've got it set up to search out "blue monday" posts so those who click it later in the week will find the meme post directly.
ReplyDeleteAhhh... I see why now. You have a period between the "Blue Monday" and the "decor" in your tags. And my link was looking for "blue monday" not "blue monday.decor"
anyway, I've been up since midnight wondering where the Mr. Linky was.
Actually my post has been up since midnight. I was asleep. Gotta get my beauty rest ya know. Otherwise I'm scary.
Beautiful plates, Sally. My blue Monday item has been posted. Can you please tell me how I can get the "Blue Monday" blue bird sign to put on my blog? Thank you, Sally.
ReplyDeleteNever mind, Sally, I think I got it. Too late to put it on today's post, but maybe it will work for next week.
ReplyDeleteYour plates are lovely Sally. And I have you interview questions.
ReplyDelete1. With all the books you've read which one is your absolute favorite, besides the Bible?
2. What made you start a blog?
3. What is your biggest regret?
4. What is your greatest accomplishment?
5. Where or what have you always wanted to visit or do that you haven't done yet?
Can't wait to see your answers.
*hugs*
