Pink Saturday - Visitor from Gainesville

People! Beverly at How Sweet the Sound hosts Pink Saturday. Pause at her Place to see Plenty of other Pretty Pink items that Precious Pink Participating People are Presenting for your Pleasure.

One of my granddaughters lives in Gainesville and attends the University of Florida. That's 325 miles away from us. She came to South Florida with a busload of Gators on a field trip. They were booked at a youth hostel on South Beach, but because we live close by, we zipped over there so that she could visit with us. She spent one of the nights with us, and we drove her back early the following morning. Here's a picture of the front of the not-the-best hotel. Do you notice something Pink?

Ah, yes! It's a giant Pink flamingo with Pink background walls and a dirty Pink sidewalk. (How Florida!)

Here's our pretty Caeil (KAY-lee) on the right with her friend, Kelly yesterday. Caeli is wearing a Pink backpack and carrying a Pink bag. She's our daughter's oldest and a delight to her grandparents.

  3. Yep, very Florida! I see them a lot at Busch Gardens in Tampa. We have season passes. You know Sal, my son is a Gator too, graduated from UF also. We used to have a duplex there where he lived in one unit and we rented out the other so we used to go there a lot. But we sold it after he graduated since my 2 daughters did not want to go there...Christine

Now, Dear Sallyness, I can't poke everything into the dishwasher and I really wash everything off before I put it in the dishwasher, so this is my little helper.

  32. Sally, Caeli is so pretty and cute with her pink in that photo. I think you know three of our kids graduated from UF. Yeah Caeli, go gators. She must be a pretty smart girl because it very hard to be accepted in that college these days. I loved the hotel and the flamingo too. I bet those kids had a grand time.

Thank you for your sweet comment about our poodle. I cried my eyes out writing that post. I am sure your little guy you found was just as special.
    Have a great Pinkie day.

    Hugs...Jeanne
