Driving down the road, I saw this and grabbed my camera. As soon as we stopped at a traffic light, I snapped a picture. I started chatting away telling Johnny that I bet the truck was carrying that cross to some church for an Easter pageant.
"But," I said, "it's really not very tall. They should have made it a couple of feet taller. I'll bet they're going to put it up on something higher so that it looks taller."
"Sally," he told me, "that the way the truck is built--it's a tow truck. That attachment is on it to lift the cars it carries."

LOL Sally--that's a good one. I'm impressed that had your camera at the ready--true blogger style!
ReplyDeleteI prefer your theory!! LOL Judith
ReplyDeleteI would totally have thought the same thing, Sally...I'm with you!
ReplyDeleteIt does look like it. I had to use one when they towed my corvett to the garage years ago. Kathy
ReplyDeleteI had to giggle at that. Yes, it does look like they could be taking the cross somewhere.♥
ReplyDelete:D you're so cute ♥ Now that you said it though, I think it's a cross disguised as a tow truck..
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kathy, I believe it's a cross in disguise....Thanks for sharing, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who carries my camera every where...
ReplyDeleteHey, we all see the world through different eyes and from different perspectives. Thank goodness. We might miss something special.
ReplyDeleteKeep watching, girl!
Candy
This is too funny! But we do see crosses in unexpected places. I was just towed last night. Broke down on the way home from work yesterday. AAaccckkk!
ReplyDeleteHEY SALLY,
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU FOR TAKING THAT AWESOME PICTURE.
IT DOES LOOK LIKE A CROSS. I THINK THAT ESPECIALLY AT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR, THE LORD ALLOWS US TO SEE CROSSES IN UNUSUAL PLACES AND
UNUSUAL THINGS SO WE WILL KNOW HE IS ALWAYS PRESENT...AND LIKE A TOW TRUCK HE IS THERE TO HELP US WHEN WE ARE BROKEN.
THAT WAS AN AWESOME PICTURE.
BLESSINGS SWEET LADY
debbie
that's not something you see every day!
ReplyDeleteHow funny! I was thinking it was a cross being transported, too.
ReplyDeleteThat is funny.
ReplyDeleteHi Sally...hmmm, you are a blonde aren't you?...Teehee, ;- Bo

What a neat idea to snap a photo of the cross.
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring and OW! :)
We all see what we want to sometimes and you had Easter on your mind ;)
ReplyDeleteWow! Cheers to your husband for "rolling" out of bed at 5:00. He must be eager to get his day started. (Golfing maybe). Those days are over for me. Now I stay in bed until at least 6:00. Your DREAM breakfast is mine too. But being diabetic, it doesn't happen too often.
ReplyDeleteI have got to remember to carry my camera. I think it looks like a cross too.
ReplyDeleteRoberta Anne
Aww, it's an honest mistake. (I make screw ups like that all the time. My husband things I'm so naive.)

ReplyDeleteYou always bring a smile to my face!!!! This sounds like one of my foo foos!! And i would have thought the same thing. Thanks for sharing.
Blessings,

That's so cute. Thanks for having the self confidence to share your silliness with us all!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Bridget
p.s. sorry about the Holly/Denise thing. Denise is not a favorite person of mine either, I just thought she danced slightly better but that's not saying much!
ReplyDeleteSally it looks like there are 2 crosses on that truck, One big one and one little one on top...funny.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to point out a little typo "that the way... I think you would want to know lol
Love Claudie
xoxo
I had to enlarge the picture, Sally, to see that truck. It did look like a big cross--until I enlarged it. I have seen those kinds of tow trucks though..
ReplyDeleteIf people think it's a cross, that's probably a GOOD thing!
Hugs,
Betsy
lol, Thanks for the giggle, I also preferred your theory, you put a lot of thought into it. Happy Outdoor Wednesday, Kathy.
ReplyDeleteHello Sally, you have made me laugh so hard and your hubby's comment made me laugh even harder. Thanks for sharing the 'jokes on you' story. It did look like a cross. I do not see a tow truck up close ever.
ReplyDeleteYou are probably right about the owner of the cabin. He has children so they will be deciding what to do. Money is no problem with this family, they own lots of property here.
Hugs...Jeanne
I figured it out after looking at it for awhile, then I read further where your husband told you what it was. Should have read further instead of trying to figure it out for myself.
ReplyDeleteLike your Blue Monday wordle on your sidebar.

Your header is just divine! You certainly are ready and willing to use that camera. Good job finding that cross, taking the shot and posting it.
ReplyDeleteJoyce
Oh, I liked your idea better! What a great photo too.
ReplyDeleteKaren
Oh goodness Sally, that was better than one of your cartoons!
ReplyDeletexoxo
Jane
That is funny. I was thinking the same thing LOL
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a cross also. Who knows - maybe your hubby was wrong!!
ReplyDeleteSweetie

ReplyDeletelol this is funny. thanks for the laughs :-) I would never have guessed.
ReplyDeleteYour husband must think you are such a sweetheart to think of such :-)
Well, you've got me laughing! That is a great story! laurie
ReplyDeleteWell, Dear, it shows what your mind is on. :) And thanks for your sweet comment.
ReplyDeleteROFL....that is the funniest thing ever! I bet Johnny was just rolling his eyes when you weren't looking! The best part is that you took the picture. The tow truck driver was probably thinking "hmm I wonder what her problem is?" What a wonderful story!!!
ReplyDeleteSally dear.. that perception simply shows whats in your heart... what a wonderful view of the world you have my dear blogging friend...
ReplyDeleteblessings. Dixie
It looks like a cross to me too! As many times as I have had my van towed, you would think I would recognize that, and I didn't either until you got to the part where DH told you it was a tow truck, lol.
ReplyDeleteHere is my point of view...it looks like a cross, so it is a cross! It just happens to be one that hooks up cars though.
