What's That?

Driving down the road, I saw this and grabbed my camera. As soon as we stopped at a traffic light, I snapped a picture. I started chatting away telling Johnny that I bet the truck was carrying that cross to some church for an Easter pageant.

"But," I said, "it's really not very tall. They should have made it a couple of feet taller. I'll bet they're going to put it up on something higher so that it looks taller."

"Sally," he told me, "that the way the truck is built--it's a tow truck. That attachment is on it to lift the cars it carries."

  5. I had to giggle at that. Yes, it does look like they could be taking the cross somewhere.♥

  6. :D you're so cute ♥ Now that you said it though, I think it's a cross disguised as a tow truck..

  10. HEY SALLY,
THANK YOU FOR TAKING THAT AWESOME PICTURE.
IT DOES LOOK LIKE A CROSS. I THINK THAT ESPECIALLY AT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR, THE LORD ALLOWS US TO SEE CROSSES IN UNUSUAL PLACES AND
UNUSUAL THINGS SO WE WILL KNOW HE IS ALWAYS PRESENT...AND LIKE A TOW TRUCK HE IS THERE TO HELP US WHEN WE ARE BROKEN.
    THAT WAS AN AWESOME PICTURE.

  20. Wow! Cheers to your husband for "rolling" out of bed at 5:00. He must be eager to get his day started. (Golfing maybe). Those days are over for me. Now I stay in bed until at least 6:00. Your DREAM breakfast is mine too. But being diabetic, it doesn't happen too often.

  32. I had to enlarge the picture, Sally, to see that truck. It did look like a big cross--until I enlarged it. I have seen those kinds of tow trucks though..

If people think it's a cross, that's probably a GOOD thing!
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  34. Hello Sally, you have made me laugh so hard and your hubby's comment made me laugh even harder. Thanks for sharing the 'jokes on you' story. It did look like a cross. I do not see a tow truck up close ever.

You are probably right about the owner of the cabin. He has children so they will be deciding what to do. Money is no problem with this family, they own lots of property here.

    Hugs...Jeanne

  35. I figured it out after looking at it for awhile, then I read further where your husband told you what it was. Should have read further instead of trying to figure it out for myself.

  47. ROFL....that is the funniest thing ever! I bet Johnny was just rolling his eyes when you weren't looking! The best part is that you took the picture. The tow truck driver was probably thinking "hmm I wonder what her problem is?" What a wonderful story!!!

  48. Sally dear.. that perception simply shows whats in your heart... what a wonderful view of the world you have my dear blogging friend...

  49. It looks like a cross to me too! As many times as I have had my van towed, you would think I would recognize that, and I didn't either until you got to the part where DH told you it was a tow truck, lol.

Here is my point of view...it looks like a cross, so it is a cross! It just happens to be one that hooks up cars though.
