Remember Jackie Gleason and
The Honeymooners? He made the phrase, "How Sweet It Is" famous. However, today I'm thinking about my sweetner, Sweet n Low.
Do you sweeten your coffee? With what?
See you for Blue Monday
Yes, I sweeten my coffee. I use plain ole fashioned white sugar. I know. It's bad. I use it.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Sally! Yes, I sweeten my coffee with Splenda. Have you ever tried it? Have a wonderful weekend!...Christine
ReplyDeleteRegular sugar for me...but my Mom uses the pink stuff.
ReplyDeleteVery pink! :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't use sugar in my coffee any more. I had to stop when I had gestational diabetes with one pregnancy and didn't want to use the artificial stuff while pregnant. I figured once I got used to it I might as well keep up not using it. If only I could have done that with the rest of my sugar addiction!!
I take my coffee black. Started drinking the 'Texas tea' when I entered marriage...always a pot going at the in-laws house.
ReplyDeleteMakes life much easier and I figure a second slice of cake will even the score:-}
Pretty Pink Day,
Candy
'Morning Sally,

Sandi

ReplyDeleteI sweeten my coffee with just a hint of sugar, but would rather have coffee in my sugar. Thank you for sharing.

Good morning Sally, I am going to make myself a cup of coffee and I use Splenda and a powered creamer..have a good week-end...
ReplyDeleteHugs, Baba
My sweetener of choice is more suited to a Monday post! lol In fact that gives me a good idea for Monday! Thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteMy MIL is a Pink packet gal and my mom is into those new fandangled yellow packets. I guess that just about covers all the packets!
My husband thinks I am weird. I drink my coffee black in the morning and then use cream and reg. sugar in the evening. I need the kick start of black coffee in the morning and at night I think of it as dessert. Cute post. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI use old-fashioned sugar! When I am out with my niece and nephews and ask them to pass the sugar, they pass the sweetener because they don't know there's a difference!
ReplyDeleteWest Indians use condensed milk in thier coffe, milk infused with sugar!
ReplyDeleteI drink coffee milk...lol..alway have always will... no sugar at all. just 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup coffee.
ReplyDeleteSomething my Daddy started me on when I was just old enough to sit at the kitchen table with him at breakfast..
I use just a little bit of Splenda..in my coffee, and drink tea either without any sweetner or sometimes just a touch of honey.
ReplyDeleteI don't drink coffee but I enjoyed your post. Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Elizabeth
I'm not a coffee drinker, but I do love the smell of it!
ReplyDeleteHoney in my tea and Splenda in my coffee along with a flavored creamer. You're pretty sweet yourself....
ReplyDeleteHave a fab day.
Kathleen
I sweeten my tea, and no, not with sweet and low. Sadly I love the color yellow and use splenda, Happy Pink Saturday, Char

~Ann
Yes, I remember. They were on TV on Saturday nights and my dad would watch and then we'd go get a hamburger. That was our treat for the week. I was blessed with a wonderful family and childhood memories and that is one. I can hear the there song right now...
ReplyDeleteI use the pink envelope too.
Have a great weekend.
Jennifer
I forgot that Sweet n' Low packets are pink!
ReplyDeleteLovely choice!
Good one Sally! I was once a pink packet gal, now I go for either brown or white sugar, or plain unsweetened iced tea... (I'm trying to be more healthy. It's so hard sometimes!) ☺ Diane
ReplyDeleteps Happy PINK Saturday! ♥
Ah yes, the little pink packet. I've started to prefer Splenda, though, recently.
ReplyDeleteI don't sweeten my coffee, and my husband does. So if I take his cup by mistake, it always surprises me!
Have a SWEET Pink Saturday.
Happy Pink Saturday Sally
ReplyDeleteI use regular sugar in my coffee. I don't use much so I justify...tea I like a little sweeter.
hope you have a lovely day...
Judi
I use brown sugar in my coffee. Honey in my tea.
ReplyDeleteIs it pink every Saturday?
Have a great day.
Darlene
I like a little coffee with my sugar! Bad I know...
ReplyDeleteI don't drink coffee anymore, but when I did, it was those flavored creamers that I loved. Especially the Irish Cream. In fact, that's part of why I stopped. It ended up being 1/2 cream & 1/2 coffee!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the pink but my neurologist says no to all of them so I watch myself carefully. I gave up soda on Dec. 20th (diet soda) and have not had one in 4 months. I have to say I have less headaches and I now sleep like a baby. Of course it is like giving up smoking so I have gained 5 pounds because I can't stop eating. I am always looking for the magic diet short of having my mouth sewn shut for a month:)
ReplyDeleteJoyce
I am allergic to the stuff--can you believe it? Splenda is fine for me though!
ReplyDeleteWe use sweeten low in coffee and ice tea! Sometimes I cook with it! Have a great PINK day...Julie
ReplyDeleteHello Sally and Happy Pink Saturday! Cute post, gotta love that sweet n low! I loved you spider plants on previous post and what a lovely view you have!
ReplyDeleteBless you, Shirl
Shirls Rose Cottage
Can't have coffee anymore, but I just left off the sugar and had cream. Now I put honey in my decaf tea.
ReplyDeleteSally,
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet qustion you ask! I never liked sweets until recently but still do not like them in my coffee or tea. No sugar or cream either. I have so many other alternatives to derive my fat from!
xoxo
Jane
Nice play on pink. I take a tiny bit of coffee with an enormous amount of white sugar and a ton of hazelnut creamer.
ReplyDeleteI use raw sugar which is really the flavor I want more than the coffee. I should be using Splenda! Happy Pink Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI don't sweeten my coffee - but I love the pink color! Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I don't usually put sweetner in my coffee or tea. I just add a little bit of plain old milk.
ReplyDeleteRunning late this week visiting blogs....Hope you had a Happy Pink Saturday ~ Susan
