I'm happy for you, too, Sally! Your post reminds me of the scripture, "I was glad when they said unto me, let us go unto the house of the LORD." I think that's the exact quote, but that's the gist anyhow. Happy for you, my friend...
That is so funny, some Churches don't realize that the Dwindling membership is because of the membership they already have. There is no Christian love or fellowship there. I'm happy you have found a new Church that is growing in love for Christ everyday. Molly
Cute Sally... I will say that it is hard to attend a 'dying' church.. We are in a tiny church made up of retirees --and it just keeps getting smaller. It's kinda sad ---and there's not alot of 'joy' in that church. We're going to start looking for another church--but when you live in a retirement community, it's hard to find a growing church. ha
It seems like in so many churches every time someone new comes in someone old goes out. This illustration is cute as are all of them that you share. Have a great worship day. Charlotte
HI Sal, (((Hugz)) LOL thank you for the smiles today!! Thanks for sharing your heart with me, I've missed you and Spiritual Sundays. trying to get my bloglist back after my widget went haywire. Thanks for signing my guestbook, it did go through (smile).
Hi, Sally girl. Hope you are feeling right at home in your new surroundings. I have the feeling that you are!! :) See you tomorrow for Blue Monday.. xo bj
Bless you for a heart warming post today. My church is mostly us older generation, and cannot understand where the younger folks are. We have an excellent pastor. The good Lord has a way of working things out in his own time.
I'm so glad that you found a good church already to join. When we moved here 3 years ago, our old pastor recommended the church we joined. We tell people, we didn't know where we were going to live, but we knew where we were going to go to church. When the realtor said you need to pick a town, we told him to concentrate on the town where the church was. We are not sorry.
Hi Sally! Big hugs to you from Colorado Springs. I hope you are doing well after your move. Thanks for stopping by my page today too. You are such a reliable spirit. I thank you, as I often do, for making em Smiling Cherie. :) Have a blessed week!
That's so funny!

ReplyDeleteI, too, am grateful I'm in a good church. The leadership is young; not one over 40!!!! They're so anointed, too.
