The tar paper is applied over the plywood and nailed down with tin caps that look like half dollars on the roof. This picture is so much better understood if you click on it.Yesterday, the windows were beginning to be installed, but I didn't get a shot of that.
Good morning Sally, I did enlarge your photo and the house is coming right along. I really like the design. It looks large. How exciting it is to build a new home.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on the entertainment center and basket. I am still thrilled to look at it each day myself. My dh wanted to put the BIG TV on the wall. UGH!
Have a happy day Sally.
Hugs, Jeanne
Thanks for telling me to click. I never would have done it. It's going to be beautiful. I bet it's hard to hold in your excitement.
ReplyDeleteOh it looks wonderful. I know you are excited. This is the point where you can really see all the rooms and just visualize it all done. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteTime is ticking down...woo hoo!

WOW they are working away on it!! It looks like it is going to be BEAUTIFUL!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's looking better and better! And I really like those round tin caps. Seems a shame to cover that up - you'd be the only people on the block with a polka dot roof!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're almost there. :)
ReplyDeleteIt'll be Home before we know it! (I'm sure it will feel a little longer for you) :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you are in by Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteLooking good. Cindy
They are really moving along. It must feel great to know that the end is in sight.
ReplyDeleteLooks great. I really like the way they do the roof. Here in Scottsdale they hold the paper down with strips of wood. They rot and curl up and come loose. Not good!
ReplyDeleteWooooHooo!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila :-)
Making good progress!!
ReplyDeleteWow..things are really coming along.
ReplyDeleteIt's beginning to look like HOME!
