Blue Monday - Hospital Blues

Hello, this is Jenna and Ara, Smiling Sally's granddaughters. We are updating our grandma's blog for Blue Monday. As you know, she had surgery about two weeks ago. There were some complications, resulting in an additional surgery. She is currently in ICU, therefore she cannot update her blog. As for now, we will try our best to keep the spirit of Blue Monday alive. :) Please keep our grandma, Smiling Sally, in your prayers. The picture above is of the blue tubes, ventilators, that are helping her breathe. Thank you for reading. Please pray that Smiling Sally will be blogging soon about all things blue! :)

I have to wear yucky custom made shoes. They are not attractive, believe me.



However, when I consider that I do have feet . . .

This picture hangs on the wall where I go to purchase my ugly shoes.









Then, I realize that I have nothing to complain about.

Several weeks ago, I spotted this gorgeous display of Blue and white beauties in the Hobby Lobby store. Fortunately, I had my camera, so I snapped, snapped away!




Look at these items. I ❤ those cute Blue and white pigs!



I have so much Blue and white that I had to be content to just drool.
I like the curves on the handles of this Blue and white pitcher best of all.
It was hard not to buy it.

For several years, I have had chronic kidney disease, which means my kidneys don't function as well as they should. To complicate matters, a tumor was recently discovered in my left kidney. Further testing showed it to be cancerous. Therefore, I will have surgery this coming Thursday morning and would greatly appreciate your prayers.

I'm including a picture of me with my Blue hair searching the internet for pictures of my upcoming surgery.

Because of the poor function of my kidneys, my surgeon will remove only part of my left kidney. He'll implement robotic assisted laparoscopy. Robotic-assisted laparoscopy is done through three small incisions, (partial nephrectomy). I found this picture of Robotic-assisted laparoscopy on the internet.

Notice, please the beautiful shades of Blue in the operating room.





I love to laugh, and so I found a few cartoons with touches of Blue just for today.
I hope they give you a chuckle.







I'm trusting in Christ, and I honestly am not worried as I know He holds my future.

I've scheduled Blue Mondays in advance, so you can continue playing in the weeks to come.
