I hope you're staying warm this winter. According to the Punxsutawney Phil, we'll soon have Spring!
Some ask for sun and some for rain
And sometimes both together;
Pray you for sunshine in your heart
And then forget the weather. (Unknown)

I have a darling little blue and white teapot to show today. It is quite old; it was my mother's, but I don't know how she obtained it. It's small enough to use as a Christmas tree ornament, and it even has am attached hanger; however, I've never put it on my Christmas tree. Neither did my mom. We have always used it for display wherever a touch of blue was needed. Of course, that can be almost any place!
The back is solid. That line on the back is not a crack; it's like a scratch covered over with the glaze.
Happy Blue Monday!

Happy Blue Monday Sally! I think this is so sweet! I would love to have a tiny treasure like this to remind me of my mom! Have a wonderful week! Hugs Anne
Hi Sally. Very cute tea pot. I have no idea what it might be other than to hold greenary like you said. But the handle confuses. Anyway it is very nice. BTW this is Sherry from My Journey Back. Making Some changes and waking up My Home Sanctuary today. Sharing my dream of a Blue Barn. Thanks for the linky. Enjoying as usual.
Have a wonderful week,
Sherry
Hello Sally, Your little teapot is darling. The mark on the back is a firing flaw. It happens sometimes and they glazed over it. I think it was made for an ornamental purpose and it is for flowers or greenery etc.I know you treasure it and so would I.
We had quite a bit of snow the last two days and it is so pretty in the mountains right now. It won't last long though.
Happy Blue Monday,
Love,
Jeanne
I was wondering if this was a sugar bowl in the shape of a teapot! The large hole is for the spoon! Maybe! I just felt the hole was oddly shaped for a plant unless to display small flowers or ferns in water! Intriguing and beautiful!
You're little tea pot is so cute. I wonder if you could put a small votive in it (battery operated)
Happy Blue Monday!
That's a treasure little teapot. I'll use it for home decoration; display it with other little teapots would be nice :)

I'd use that little gizmo for a planter--for violets, of course!
What a sweet little treasure! I'd love to see it hanging on a Christmas tree with vintage cobalt blue ornaments and more blue and white pieces. Wouldn't that be a feast for the eyes? Have a wonderful week, Sally.
Thanks for hosting :)
That's gorgeous Sally. I love the vase in the background too.
This is darling, Sally...I'm happy it was passed down to you and I would leave it out year round, too!
Have a great week!
XO,
Jane

I would try and find me some blue glass decorative stems [at the floral section in a craft shop] and add them.
What a cute little teapot. What even makes it more special is that it belonged to your mother. I'm thinking maybe the hole is for a candle. Thanks for hosting. Happy Blue Monday. Carol Ann is AHappyGram
What a sweet little teapot, Sally. The opening would probably be used for greenery. Lovely that it had belonged to your mother. Thanks for hosting and have a wonderful day.
Blessings,
Sandi
Your teapot is adorable. My Granny used to have several similar teapot thingies, and she used them to hold matches and toothpicks, and tiny candy canes for the grandkids! But I agree, it does look like it should hold greenery or maybe a teensy bouquet.
Happy Blue Monday. Hope you have a great day and a wonderful week!
This is a very sweet teapot ornament, Sally! I love to collect decorative miniature like this. Yours is extra special as it belonged to your Mom, and must bring back memories! Happy Blue Monday!
Happy Blue Monday, Sally! I tried several times to upload a photo but it would not take it, sorry. xo
Happy Blue Monday dear Sally! I'm posting my mom's china with blue little flowers I used for my Valentines table. I always have problems with my thumbnail, but I'm here and that's enough to make me happy! Have a great week.

Hi Sally, thanks for helping me out. Your tea pot is very cute and a nice memory for you. xo
Whatever its use, obviously your mother did not choose to do so. How great it is you still have it just as she left it. A treasure to keep.Still not visiting much, but it will get better.

Such a sweet little teapot. Thanks for sharing. Hope your having a great Blue Monday :)
Love your sweet little tea pot!
Hi there Sally! That is a sweet tea pot. If it were smaller I'd say it might be for a doll house, I don't suppose it is the right size for a child's tea party? It is sweet.
Happy Blue Monday, Sally!
Happy blue Monday.
Your teapot is very pretty !
Hi Sally! Oh, your little teapot is darling! I can't imagine what i supposed to go in the little hole. But it's sweet and I know you're so thankful to have it.
Thanks for popping in to see me and I'm sure your weather is lovely.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
That is so cute. I was thinking vase at first but since it is so tiny maybe, toothpicks a tea bag when you have taken it out of the water and need a place to put it.

That rich blue Made in Taiwan, I love ...
Happy Blue Monday..*hugs*...on Wednesday.
That is a very pretty little teapot for sure. I wonder why its open at the back...hmmmm...wasn't made for tealights because they didn't have then then..*s*..but it would get too warm so you wouldn't want to do that. I guess it would be for some greenery. I wonder if you could put a little little pot back there with...some greenery, a live plant.
Its darling and a special keepsake for sure.
have a great week.
Judi
I like the idea of putting flowers in it to display... really pretty Sally.
