My birthday was back in May. As a birthday present, my daughter took me to see Despicable Me 2. The movie choice was mine, and we had to wait for its release in July.
Cartoon films are not Johnny's favorite. I watched the first movie, Despicable Me, by renting it and viewing it at home one day while Johnny was gone. I loved it! After listening to me rant and rave about this terrific movie, he decided to tag along to see the sequel.
Despicable Me 2 is a SUPER film. It's laugh-out-loud funny. It's a romance. It's an action film. Unlike many cartoons, there is a plot: Gru is recruited by the Anti-Villain League to help deal with a powerful new super criminal. He is teamed up with Lucy, seen here in a Blue coat.
So, I give this film a big thumbs up!

I thought of watching Despicable Me 2 over the weekend but had to rush to another appointment when I was right in front of the cinema. Glad to know of your reaction to the film. Now I really want to watch it. Those are cute blues in the characters. Happy blue Monday, Sally.

Hi Sally, It's been quite a while since I've joined blue Monday. I loved Despicable me. Such a cute story. We just may end up seeing 2 with the boys this week if it keeps raining the way it has been. I am hoping it's as good as the first one.
Despicable Me was a fun movie, I'm looking forward to seeing DM 2, it sounds great that it will be a romance. What fun!

I love movies, so I will look for this one. Our daughter worked on the newly released Woody Allen film, Blue Jasmine, staring Cate Blanchett. I always look at the props and what folks are wearing, plus the music!
Sorry, late commenting, but had to mow before it got too hot.I always liked Twitty Bird and the Road Runner years ago. Have not seen any of the modern comedies. In fact, have not been to a movie in so long not sure if I would know how to act.

All my grands have seen it and enjoyed it. My youngest got scared during the previews at oh I don't remember the name of the one with the fuzzy trees from last summer. Anyway we complained about the previews and got free tickets. Anyway he was afraid to watch the previews this time because of that! Poor baby!
