Aww, look at them schmoozing by the blue, blue water.
ReplyDeleteVery cute Sally. We're beginning to see lots of our fall and winter birds migrate here to Southern California too. I'm combining my blue Monday with Tablescape Tuesday this week. Hope no one minds. It's a busy week and we are travelling on Tuesday. Hope you and yours have a wonderful Thanksgiving Sally! Thank you so much for hosting...
ReplyDeleteIt is so wonderful that the birds have the skill to fly south when it gets cold up here.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me think of that movie Fly Away Home about the Canada geese. Nice picture!
ReplyDeleteOkay, now I definitely want to move next to you - LOVE the duckies!! Beautiful photo!!...Donna
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Happy Thanksgiving!

That water is such a pretty shade of blue. Ducks are so fun. We used to get them in our pool in the backyard at my old house and I always enjoyed watching them.
ReplyDeleteOh, the water is blue!!Kathy
ReplyDeleteA pretty picture. These birds know where to go when it's cold outside.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Chris
Good morning Sally, That photo does bring me back to FL. I do love Florida in the winter.
ReplyDeleteMr. Linky has me up as Jeanne. Bill cleared my cache and I have to re-enter everything. I re-entered my name instead of Backyard Neighbor. sigh!
Hugs, Jeanne
Good morning, Sweet Sally...well, our little pond at the park close to us is totally full of ducks and geese so I think they stop here for a brief rest...then, head on to YOUR place...
ReplyDeletelove, bj
Nice picture, in the meanwhile in Belgium everything is white, not much blue to find.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a swim meet. Which event is this? The 100m paddle-and-duck?
ReplyDeleteOnly half a beach from me this week. Don't want to wear it out do we? (As if we could!)
Blue Monday #9: Blue is the New Green
Hi Salley - Yes we do miss the ducks in PA. In the summer we see them quite often. Your photo is great. It reminds me of spring. Happy Blue Monday.
ReplyDeleteSweetie
Sally,
ReplyDeleteI wondered that exact thing last week when I took the picture of them on a chilly morning.
The water sure is pretty there! And the grass is so green! Looks like spring to me.
diane
What a fun post! A duck gathering at the watering hole. The water is pretty, too.
ReplyDeleteHi Sal, Happy Thanksgiving to you and thanks for hosting Blue Monday. Lucky ducks down there in sunny warm Florida.
ReplyDeleteHI! I came by way of BJ's blog. Love your Blue Monday and would enjoy participating but my blog is set to private.
ReplyDeleteI'm here in the beautiful sunshine state as well and the skies are very blue on this Monday.
I will send you and invitation to view my blog. You're most welcome to come by anytime.
Sally, hello South Florida from the chilly hinterlands of the north country aka North Florida!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited about playing with you girls today.
I love ducks. They always make me smile, and those are some kind of cute.
Thanks for oranizing all of the party. I'm going to sample the banquet now. Got my party hat on!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Sally, I had to come back because you are right about the blue in the movie. I re-played it when I finished my post yesterday and realized it then. LOL. I do have a question. Why is there a smile face after my name? I have noticed it before and I am finally asking why. I did not do that.
ReplyDeleteHugs...Jeanne
The little ducks are so cute. My Blue Monday involves water also.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday.
Charlotte
I should have followed the birds as a chaperone. It is way too cold, way too early here in Michigan!
ReplyDeleteI always wondered where the ducks and geese disappeared to. Do you get the swallows, too? Very cute photo!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful backyard view. I too would fly to Florida if I was able. I imagine they choose your pond on purpose because you are so friendly "Smiling Sally".
ReplyDeleteKathy b
So relaxing there by the water. Reminds of when I used to take my kids to feed the ducks when they were young. Thank you for visiting my Blue Monday!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Sally... What a great picture of the ducks at the waters edge.... It is so great when they come visit us in Florida... I love it...Have a wonderful day!!!

ReplyDeleteGood Morning, Sally, The ducks may have flown farther south, but we still have some beautiful birds left behind. And those little boogers can go through a lot of bird feed! LOL! Great post! I had a blue post today, and realized last night that Josh still has my camera...so I'll save it for next week!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving! Hugs, Rhonda :)
Hi Sally
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture...lucky ducks in the warmth and going for a swim!! How nice that you have water close to you like so you can enjoy them...you don't have gators in there do you?
Hope you have a good Blue Monday...I forgot to come in first thing this morning to sign up!
Judi
Good afternoon Sally. That picture is so cute. Please I want my birds back. I don't want winter! LOL Happy Blue Monday
ReplyDeleteAh the little duckies on campus around here hang around all winter long which is nice to see when you walk by the duck pond. ;) However, the cranes are just passing through.
ReplyDeleteand then...they were all eaten by an alligator in one bite! chomp chomp!
ReplyDeleteIf you see any from the Cape, tell them I said hi and it's too cold to come home :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice picture you shared.
take care,
Dawn
I am late but finally got my Blue Monday post up!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Sally - I couldn't post a Blue Monday post .... our grandaughter in labor today, and waiting to hear news of the birth of our great grandbaby. Slow labor, so just waiting. Anyhow - enjoyed your post.
ReplyDeleteHugs.
I bet its so fun to live on a pond! I love seeing birds, and soon the river will be full of geese. Some have already arrived, but the river itself is so far down the steep banks that I can't get up close to them. Love the blue water!
ReplyDeleteCan't believe I missed making a Blue Monday post for the second week in a row! I got too caught up in the writing exercise, lol.
Kady
Hi Sally, looks like you have your ducks in a row, hehehehhe .
ReplyDeleteThe ducks are adorable...but there sure isn't anything adorable about all that duck poop that has got to be on your yard lol. I remember when we lived by the lake how slimy the grass would get. OK...I'm a kill joy...just look at the pretty ducks Nikki and shut up!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet are those babies!
