Although I've been blogging since June 13th of this year, I knew that something was missing. I did not feel Official. Theresa from Take A Sentimental Journey gave me the tip I needed, and I found the magical item that will initiate me into Blogdom. Theresa suggested I try shopping at Ross. I knew where one was located, and not too far from me. Well, last Tuesday, I dragged Johnny along and off we went! Here's what we brought home.
Let's look inside the bag. Yes, it's a cloche! I am so thrilled that I can finally join the ranks of those who own a cloche. Now, I can fill it and post about it.
Here's how it looks now. I tossed some ornaments inside. I still need to tie a ribbon on, but it's a Christmas decoration! I'm so proud and happy. Thank you, Theresa.
I want one too! I didn't know that I'm "unofficial," : (
ReplyDeleteGood Morning, Sally! Congratulations on your Blogger Officialism, now! LOL! Great cloche and it looks wonderful filled with Christmas cheer. ~hugs, Rhonda :)
ReplyDeleteOh dang it I was trying to convince myself I really didn't need one and that I really didn't have a spot for one but just the name of it is drawing me. I didn't know till blogging they had a name. Cloche...
ReplyDeleteYou are putting the pressure on Sally!! Enjoy your nice new Cloche!
Oh, Sallyness, woo hoo! You really are an official blogger now! Now you've got to look for a Marshall's - they're even better than Ross!! Love them cloches!! (notice my use of the English language). Now, thanks for coming by and I love your knowledge and your wit!!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
shelia ;)
You've been to Ross'! And you bought a cloche! Don't you just love that place? Like your new cloche.
ReplyDeleteHoly Kamoly Sally... Isn't that just gorgeous... I love it... Do you think they come small enough for me to get one for Tassie... I want to be official too... BEAUUUUUtiful... Have a super day...
ReplyDelete(((HUGS)))
Donna
Yippee Sally ! I am so glad you found one . Don't you just love Ross . And like Sheila said, check out Marshall's too. Here in my area T.J. MAxx is better than Marshall's. I think they are owned by the same people.
ReplyDeleteLove it! I have a secret affair going on with Ross too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the comments lately. Now that I have a retired high school teacher reading some of my posts, I better watch my grammar!
Hi Sally, your piece is beautiful, but why is it called a cloche?? I have never heard of that word...I am really missing out ...have to find myself a cloche....hugs, Baba
ReplyDeleteI must not be official either! I don't have one of those...what do you call them...oh cloches. Well I guess I will just have to find one at a Ross near me. There is not one in my town. But I know there is one not far from work. Guess I could check after work one day.
ReplyDeleteHello, I found my way here from Squawmama's. I did not know either we need to be official. I dont have that store around here. I will look it up and see how far one is.
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with that jar. I have my first glass jar though this year and I filled it with fall stuff. I hate to empty it so its hiding.
There you go!! Congratulations on your officialdom. Guess I need to go shop at Ross. Sally
ReplyDeleteHi Sally, Thanks for stopping by, don't you just love when you find that perfect treasure although I was expecting a cloche to be a... no I wont say, ok laughter is the best medicine so guess I will....no can't do it...ok ok if I close my eyes maybe I can. I thought it was a....a purse! LOL LOL LOL
ReplyDeleteHelen
It looks beautiful. I don't have one, so you weren't alone. Can't wait to see what else you come up with.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
*hugs*
Sally, don't you just love Ross! I'm amazed at some of the deals I've gotten there. I love blue and white porcelan, and I've found some great pieces for not much money at all! It mixes well with better pieces, and I'm a happy camper because it's BLUE! :-)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you joined the club!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Is that what I have been needing!!! Wow thanks for letting me know!! LOL!! ((Who knew?))
ReplyDeleteYour is very pretty!
Diane
Love it. Is that not a great store? My daughter and I love to go there, it is a bit crazy during the holidays, but we still love it.
ReplyDeleteLOL that is funny LOL
ReplyDeleteCute post...i am glad you are not skirting the lines of true BLOGGERDOM lol
Now does it have to look like that, with a lid, cause I just bought a glass container and filled it with Christmas oranaments. Can I be official too?
ReplyDeleteLove Ya,
Chris
Hi Sally,
ReplyDeleteYou picked out a winner! My daughter almost bought a piece just like it but decided to wait til payday!
Looks great the way you have it decorated.
Diane
I guess I'm not official yet! I don't own a cloche and I don't have a Ross near me :(
ReplyDeleteI love the sparkle in your picture. Very pretty.
take care,
Dawn
I looks wonderful! Just another thing I need.. I shall put it on my list for Santa. Kathy
ReplyDeleteHi Sally, You've done your cloche proud. I haven't Christmas'd mine up yet. I haven't done a darn thing except my Dad's Christmas shopping. I still have to do my own! I'm sitting here with my fall stuff all over the place. Well, we do have some snow on the ground, so I am getting the spirit. Please stop on by and pick up a few things - Robyn
ReplyDeleteI husband received the book "Never Surrender" from your give away. He is already engrossed! Thanks. Sally
ReplyDeleteMeant to say "My husband". My mind is working faster (or slower) than my fingers. Sally
ReplyDeleteummmm....I have been amongst those who didn't own a cloche...so I bought one a couple months ago so I could join the group lol. But I think what you have there is an apothocary jar. I thought a cloche was a base with a glass lid that covered it. I could be wrong....because I'm not like those ladies that have all the dishes and decorate all fancy schmancy. Of course I just went to Home Goods and bought my first ever Apothocary jar TODAY...or maybe it's a cloche...CRAP I'M SO CONFUSED!!!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize these containers had a name. I'm always learning something new thru blogging. Your's looks lovely with the red Christmas balls.
ReplyDeleteLOL! I don't have one, either. I used to have a small one filled with shells.
ReplyDeleteI have an award for you! : ) I just realized there was no fill-in today, is fill-in on holiday?
ReplyDeleteOhhhh weeee! You're bonifide now!!! lol lol I love the cloche...I never even knew what you call them until I joined blogland! lol I just called them glass domes! lol lol they look so pretty with the red balls in them! have a great weekend girl!
ReplyDeleteHi Sally, so that's what those things are called! It looks really pretty but I have to ask, why isn't there BLUE round Christmas Ornaments in there?
ReplyDeleteLove, Ann
I joined the ranks this Summer...: ) And yours is so pretty! I like the shape and what you did with it! Now, how do you feel to be *Official*?? *smile*
ReplyDeleteLove,
Sue
