Beverly at How Sweet the Sound hosts Pink Saturday. Stop by her Place to see the many other Pretty Pink items that Precious Pink Participating People are Putting on display.
My offering today is a Pink ornament that I made over thirty years ago. My fingers still hurt from pushing all of those tiny straight pins into the styrofoam ball. I made several similar ornaments that year in different colors. I cherish each one still. My tree is not yet decorated, but I hung this special ornament so that you could see it as it is meant to be seen.
I will be out and about today, but I Promise to get back to everyone in the next day or two. I wish you a Happy Pink Saturday. Remember to check out my sidebar for book giveaways!

ReplyDeleteAHHH, I remember these...it is so pretty. My mom made some but I never did. I'm not crafty at all. She was so talented, I always let her do things for me and I never learned to do them. Now, I'm too old and set in my ways to want to start.
ReplyDeleteI, too, will be out of pocket the next few days..gotta finish up shopping and etc...
love, bj
I made some of these ornaments in the past. They are very meticulous and time consuming. Yours is great!

Sally, this is such a nifty ornament and wonderful that you've had it all these years.
ReplyDeleteYes, I made that same ornament, only in turquoise! Still have it somewhere. For the first couple of years we were married, it was just about the only Christmas decoration we could afford. Thanks for reminding me - I need to track mine down.
ReplyDeleteI've had those sore fingers also...now I use tiny slivers of glue, a toothpick..and tweezers. Your ornament is so beautiful tho..it was worth all the pain. Happy Pink Saturday and have a wonderful week. xx
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely ornament, Sally!
ReplyDeleteSally, your ornament is gorgeous. I remember when those crafts were going around. I pushed pins into fruit and then gave them away years later. I wish I still had it. Ouch I do remember sore fingers.
ReplyDeleteMy book arrived today. My DH knew him and was excited to read it too. Thank you Sally.
Last night for the drawing, so good luck Sally.
