Beverly at How Sweet the Sound hosts Pink Saturday. Stop by her Place to see the many other Pretty Pink items that Precious Pink Participating People are Putting on display.
My Pink offering today is my mother's Pink teapot. She got this as an wedding gift many years ago. It's quite small--a bit over 4 inches high. My mom loved this teapot and used it often. The tea she made with it stained it so that it's darkened inside. In her later years, Mama decided it was too precious to use. Whenever she would see it, she'd make an "Ahhh" sound. I can almost hear her when I look at it.
It's designed like a Pink cottage tree house. See the tree trunk for the spout and handle? I"ve never seen anything like it.
Here's a shot of the back. Notice the details--the shingles on the roof, the windows, the stone arch around the door, the bushes. That blurb on the lower left is a bush.
It says, "Made in Japan" on the bottom and something that looks like "30."
I doubt if it was costly; mama didn't run in those circles, but it's one of my most valued possessions.
Happy Pink Saturday!
Check out the giveaway in my sidebar.
