Bluebird Vases

Sometimes a touch of blue makes the perfect look.

These matching porcelain vases are amongst my most treasured possessions. The reason they are so special is because of the giver. Jane, a special person, gave them to me, and I think of her and thank God for her each time I see them.



They are signed, "Roger Tory Peterson" and numbered. The bottom states:
Kaiser of Germany
A private edition produced
exclusively for The Danbury Mint.


There is a band of gold on the top and bottom of each vase. The painting of the bluebirds is on both the front and the back.




Like my other blue and white collectibles, I've been keeping them in my china cabinet until we move into our new home. Next week, I'll show you the remaining blue and white pieces and let you see them all in the china cabinet.

    I'm finally re-couperating from the fight. We were delayed 5 hours in Calgary because of the terrible snow storm. Poor Randy had to come and pick me up at 4:30 AM.... Birthday's and Xmas this month... busy busy for sure.

    Sally, I'm laughing at the comment you left on my blog! :) I am feeling the same way, but for different reasons. I actually knew you haven't posted daily, but when my blog list didn't update last week on Monday, I knew something major was going on. I was glad it was Blogger's problem and not that something had happened to you.

    I've been checking my favorite blogs and not relying on the update feature. It sure is nice when things work as you expect them though.
