Almost Home

This is a picture of our back yard plantings. I don't know the name of the tree or of the plants.

The house seems finished. We walked through yesterday. The hard part now is the waiting while the builder completes his finishing touches.

Our closing is scheduled for Monday, December 14th. I will still have Blue Monday, though I will be slow responding to comments. However, you know that I will return all visits.

We'll have a carpenter come in for some finishing work on the living room wall and then the team of painters will work their magic. We'll move Thursday, December 17th.

So many of you have asked about Christmas, and as you can see, we will be in our home for Christmas! I will hang a wreath on our red door, and display my favorite nativity scene inside. That will be it for Christmas decorating; no tree this year. It doesn't bother me a bit. I'm enjoying all of your decorating.

And, yes, I'm VERY excited.

  19. Sally, I can't think of a better way to celebrate Christmas than by moving into your new home. It's not the decorations that make Christmas, anyway ... it's the love shared by family and friends, as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Best wishes to you and your family for the best Christmas ever!

Wishing you much happiness in your new home. I hope your move goes well next week.
I have enjoyed my visit to your blog today. I loved hearing about your childhood memory of the blue bike. I had one similar to that but I wanted a basket on the front! I had been watching the ET movie!!
