Welcome. It's Blue Monday! It's all about blue today.
Each week some link in without blue or without the link. They are deleted, and I hate that part of my "job."
So please, folks, put the Blue Monday link on your post before you link into Mr. Linky.
Double check the simple rules by clicking here.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Ever since the first day of spring, this giant blow-up
Blue monster has been on display in front of this Kia car dealership that faces a busy street in Tampa. It's summer now, but I finally have the time to post my pictures. So although it's been taken down, we can all still [:blink:] over it.
When I first saw it, I knew it'd be a perfect
Blue Monday post! I took this picture through our tinted windshield.
Now, THAT's Blue!
Then Johnny actually pulled over and got out of the car to take this shot!
What a cooperative husband!Looking at the size of this Blue monster, I wonder how it can help car sales.
Would sales have decreased rather than increased!
What do you think? Would this Blue monster entice you to buy a car?Happy Blue Monday!
ReplyDeleteSally, what is that thing??? A giant blue ape??? The King Kong of Smurfs???
ReplyDeleteI am just dying laughing over your comments. I guess it's supposed to grab your attention, but I'm with you, I'm not sure it can make me buy a car. I might RUN in the other direction. LOL!
Happy Blue Monday...
ReplyDeleteI think husbands of bloggers has to develop some skill of spotting some cool things to be blogged about ... this one is very cool huge monster .... mine is up.. at http://www.pettythingsinlife.net/2010/07/theyre-now-pretty.html
ReplyDeleteHi Sally,
ReplyDeleteI am joining Blue Monday for the first time. It's so nice of you to host this each week. :) As for that big blue beast, I think it would have me heading in the opposite direction.
another great blue subject Sally..a perfect for Blue Monday indeed..
ReplyDeleteThat's blue and that's BIG! lol
ReplyDeletethat's so cute! happy blue monday!
ReplyDeleteIt's a huge blue monster! But cute :-)
ReplyDeleteI think it would not have enticed me to buy a car but it may have made me notice the car sales lot.
ReplyDeleteWell...you can't miss it! One has to look twice when one sees a huge blue ape towering above everything else. (And he is kind of cute!)
ReplyDeleteHappy BLUE MONDAY!
Coralie
That monster is definitely blue and BIG.
ReplyDeleteImagine any children going there with their parents to purchase something?
Wow, that is a huge blow-up Blue monster! What a great find for Blue Monday, Sally! Great photos.
ReplyDeleteHe is attention getting, that is for sure!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!
Becky K.
Silly girl. But I guess it is blue. They could save the electric to blow him up because it wouldn't entice me to buy.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday
Happy Blue Monday, dear Sally. Thank you for the birthday wishes. This is number fifty-eight.
ReplyDeleteNope, I don't believe that would entice me to purchase a car. But, the thing that really makes me laugh is the spring cleaning sign on his chest. I dare say a fellow like this could accomplish some major spring cleaning if he put his mind to it.
That reminds me of the saying you can't see the forest for the trees. I think it is a distraction. If I had small kids I would think it was something for the children. Maybe they think the children will want to stop and see this thing and the adults will look around while they are there.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great blue giant for a clearance sight..
ReplyDeleteLove it!!! Cute :)
ReplyDeleteYoli
I have seen those around town. They are leased and used for advertising purposes. One thins for sure, they do catch you attention.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is one BIG monster! Not sure it would persuade me to buy a car, but I'd love to have my photo taken with him. Too funny!
ReplyDeleteThis is fun Sally. Such a big blue monster.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Sally...girl I don't think that huge Blue gorilla would make me stop and buy a car ha ha!! Too funny...Thanks for being a fine host my dear friend...Happy Blue Monday to you...Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
ReplyDeleteFunny Sally!
Thanks for all you do in hosting this event!
Good morning Sally, this big blue monster has been sighted in our city too... I would not stop to buy a car, but only stop to get a picture like you did... have a great day.
ReplyDeletehugs, Baba
A giant blue gorilla what will they think of next to advertise...
ReplyDeleteHave a great day
Diane
Now that's one whopper of a Blue Monday statement! Yep, I've often wondered how the big silly air characters increase auto sales...maybe it's something that should be added to the stimulus package! Heeehehehehe!
ReplyDeleteI so wanted to check in and see what you've been up to. I've been sick and out of pocket most of the summers. I hope yours has been fantastic!
God bless and have a wonderful summer day!
Leave it to you to find such a hilarious subject for Blue Monday. Re Jeb: Cowboy Churches are not all for cowboys. They serve those who are not comfortable with more traditional forms of worship. Did you catch the gun in his picture? He was in many ways an unusual man. Have a great day, Sally
ReplyDeleteCar dealers must think we are all idiots- why would they think this would entice me in to even look! It is funny though- and really blue! Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteUps, blue monster!
ReplyDeleteWish you a great day!
That's truly a huge Gorilla in there.. it actually catches the attention as you what it did to you, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteMy entry can be found here:
ReplyDeleteHi Sal!
ReplyDeleteBlue Monsters, eehh!
And I am delivering some blue flowers and nearly blue roses.
Happy Blue Monday!
Best wishes,
AnnA
My 1st time here...happy Monday
ReplyDeleteSally,
ReplyDeleteThe blue monster would certainly get peoples attention, and my grandkids would love it, but, it would not draw me in, or scare me way. If I'm looking for a car, I'm looking. If not, not. =)
blessings and thanks for hosting each week.
hugs
barbara jean
Hi Sally, well it took me all day to get on my computer today. Washing clothes bedding and unloading food in the RV was a job. Seven people slept in our 30 ft. RV. I took pics to share later. Very cozy.
ReplyDeleteThe blue monster would definitely not make me want to buy a car. HA! It is quite the sensation though. Johnny was a good sport to get the second photo.
Happy Blue Monday.
Love ya, Jeanne
Just found you and linking up. Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteheather
I did have your button on my post.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Whoa, that would get your attention driving down the road, wouldn't it? Have a great week Sally!
ReplyDeleteThat is really cool Ms. Sally. I wonder what are the good stuff on sale in that clearance. Is that a sale or some clearnce thing hehehe
ReplyDeleteI like that big blue ape,it's really cool.
Hi, What a fun Blue Monday blog party - it so got my creative juices going and I had such a fun time planning out a beautiful blue little boys and girls tea party. Got the buttons up and am looking forward to heading out to visit sites. Thank you for being such a great hostess.
ReplyDeleteLoved your blue monster. My grandsons would love it even more! They'd DEFINITELY want me to stop there, but for just that reasons I would definitely NOT stop here - too hard to juggle grandkids and buying a car ;)
Thanks again for a fun visit!
Ann
Hi Sally,
ReplyDeleteIt's only about 9pm and the linky is closed! Gosh, I'm disappointed. I have a super BLUE sky and a link back to Blue Monday at:
http://www.artsquadgraphics.com/blog/2010/07/26/oklahoma-rose/
I've always wondered that, too -- whether that kind of thing actually attracts business. I wouldn't go just because they had that there but I might if it was an indication of a one day special sale or something, and then only if I needed what they were selling.
ReplyDeleteThis is so funny! It got my attention but what I love most is that all of us bloggers carry our camera around looking for that perfect shot and how we even get our hubby's involved in all of the action :>)
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at your comment Sally....If I had to shop for "new" stuff, well, I might not do a great job with that...it is the old junk that seems to attract folks around me!! LOL.....I guess the reason it gets on my nerves so much as it happens a lot!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Blue Monday Sally
ReplyDeleteI don't really "get" why they have an ape or a big balloon at car dealerships. I know they do get your attention...but does it help with the sales? I usually know the dealership is there anyway...if I'm going to buy from in that area.
What a good hubby to get up and take the picture for you...*s*..
hope you are having a great week
Judi
Hi Most Smiling One! Oh, you're funny! I don't think that big ole Blue thing would help me to decide to buy a car! But he'd certainly make me turn my tiny head! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to love my week with my little gals. Hope you're doing well.
be a sweetie,
shelia ;)
Sally, enjoy all your blue things, blue is my favorites colour, well, here is my this week blue flowers, http://singaporeplantslover.blogspot.com/2010/07/europe-flower-shop-hydrangea.html
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I have added a link to your blog on my main page, do I still need to add a link in my post? Just incase sometime I forget...
Have a great week...
I'm familiar with the green monster of Fenway Park....never have seen a blue one like this. That's quite the advertisement isn't it?
ReplyDeletetake care,
Dawn
Well, it definitely gets your attention doesn't it!?!?
ReplyDeleteHey girl, just popped over to wish you a fantastic weekend. God bless ya sweet Sally!
ReplyDeleteHi Sally
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday
Hope you have had a good week...its too bad you aren't living in Miami still.
I am going to go with Marc this week from Mon-Thurs because he is still going there once a month. I'm still on vacation.
We are going to be in Southbeach...I know it'll be a warm one. The weather here has been sooo nice now that the humidity has been away this week.
have a wonderful weekend.
*hugs*
Judi
Hi Sally, I sure do miss your visits. I have been so busy, my visiting has slowed down lately. I hope all is well with you my friend.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter Andrea and I are having a wonderful visit even though she is not very mobile with her shoulder surgery. Lots of talking going on here. Smile.
I will see you on Monday if not before.
Hugs, Jeanne
