Here's a shot of the front of our house, decorated for Christmas. I took this last Tuesday, on a bright blue day. Our three Camellia bushes are blooming nicely. The post right below this one has some pictures, if you're interested.
I want to share our outdoor nativity with you. We bought it three years ago at Walmart. It has a blue background with white silhouettes.
The streaks on the blue. nativity are from the afternoon sun.

It is lovely, Sally. It looks like Delft pottery from a distance. I hope you've had a great weekend. Blessings...Mary
ReplyDeleteIt is really glowing at night, it is so beautiful
ReplyDeleteHi, Sweet Sally,
ReplyDeleteGosh, I love your nativity. It really looks good at night.
I don't have a LOT of blue for you this week but a little bit..if you look hard. :))
Thanks so much for hosting this meme each and every week. Are you getting tired of it? I hope not.
hugs, bj
Sally, your lighted nativity is gorgeous. I love the blue and white. It is especially pretty when lighted at night. A lovely one to share on Blue Monday.
ReplyDeleteAre you ready for Christmas? I was supposed to finish shopping tomorrow and we are snowed in with more snow tomorrow. It sure is pretty but tomorrow night it is going to be 5 degrees. I bet you will have freezing temps too. If you have old blankets cover your favorite palm trees if they aren't too tall. Don't use plastic, it is no good.
Stay warm.
Hugs, Jeanne
Wow, it really glows beautifully at night Sally!
ReplyDeletePS: I commented on your pink post. Better late than never.sigh!
ReplyDeleteJeanne, again
Hi Sally, I love your Nativity at night. Very pretty.

Your sign is pretty even in the daytime.....some many of them aren't. Yet, yours is really, really nice at night. I love how it shines when it lights up.
ReplyDeleteRelatively new to Blue Monday. I may have posted once or twice before, but I rarely have had much blue. I'm doing some redecorating with blue, so I should be able to join in more in the coming months.
Soooooo wonderful Sally, looks GREAT in your front yard!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd have I said how thankful I am for you lately, welcoming and sharing this event with all of us...THANKS Sweetie !!!

The Nativity is so cute, and I really like how it lights up at night. We've had terrible weather over here, to the point where we have one strand of lights near the BACK of the house, and only a couple of little lights in the windows.
ReplyDeleteWow, first of all you have a very charming house...the nativity is awesome at night.. you don't have snow there in your place?
ReplyDeleteI like that house you have. :)
ReplyDeleteThe welcome sign is very pretty.
I love the blue decoration in front your house Ms.Sally. It shows the true meaning of Christmas.

ReplyDeleteI like this nativity. I'm not a big fan of spectacular light displays; this one is just about right. And I agree that it resembles Delft pottery. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteHi Sally, I came back to tell you to come back for a couple of pics I added this morning. I think clearer in the morning and it was late when I published last night. Bill took the pic of me and Cheri' this morning. You might like what I added. Smile.

ReplyDeleteHi Sally, Just a return visit to answer your question: the tree is known as a mountain ash. I believe another name for the same tree is rowan.
ReplyDeleteLove your palm trees. You obviously live somewhere nice and warm and didn't get him with the load of snow dumped on half the country yesterday. I could go for a little of your warm weather right now.
ReplyDeleteCindy

i really like your blue WalMart nativity. I saw one last year across town and stopped to look at it to see if it was homemade. I wonder if WalMart would still carry it? I will find out online. Thanks for the verse in 1 John 5, one of my favorites. Praise the Lord you know Jesus as your Savior. Merry Christmas and God bless! :)
