~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~It's April and as the saying goes, April showers bring May flowers.
We've sure have had a downpour of rain where I live, so I'm guessing that the month of May will find me swamped in blooms!
However, since we've been experiencing drought conditions for the past couple of years, we joined our neighbors in a "Happy To See the Rain Dance."
I've found a unique website that will tell you whether or not you'll need to take your umbrella when you venture outside. Check it out. Just click
Do I Need an Umbrella?. You'll be asked to enter your zip code, and an answer will appear.
If you need an umbrella, a blue one would be a good choice.You might find a blue umbrella that's large enough to share.This cartoon might give you a smile.Happy Blue Monday!1. mizhelle 2. Sally, this is the best rainy day Blue Monday. Please send the rain to Texas. We are under a drought and no rain in sight. I put in my zip code and and a big NO came up.
ReplyDeleteHi Sally, what a delightful post! The funny thing is that where I live we don't use umbrellas. It hardly rains, just snows or is sunny. That is one thing I like about living here in Central Oregon.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hostessing, and Happy Blue Monday!
Kathy M.
The words blue and rain might lead a person to think the post might be a bit down, but this one is great fun.
ReplyDeleteHi Sally, Wow, I missed last week and I'm late today..but I made it.
ReplyDeleteLove your Blue Mondays ! ! Have a great day. ))smiles))
I would love to have a blue umbrella like this :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week Sally!
As I live in the Pacific Northwest, I'm used to constant rain. Last month we had 20 straight days of rain and 28 days of rain. If I could find a use for mold, I'd be wealthy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and hosting Blue Monday.
ReplyDeleteSally,
ReplyDeleteI have a Blue Monday Blue Jay sticker on my post. I don't know why your Mr. Linky friend didn't see it.
We've had our share of rain here lately too... at least it has cleaned the pollen out of the air.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting.
Hi Sally..
ReplyDeletegosh how I hated to leave home..
well my Florida home..
but the residents of my Denver home were missing my presence..
fortunately for me, the timing was perfect!
not a messy day at all the entire two weeks..
rained on me all the way to the airport..
and yes, I was carrying my BLUE umbrella!
warmest sandy hugs..
Loui♥
Please don't remind me that the rainy season is coming. The damp causes my fibro to do me in.
ReplyDeleteBut, I'm glad that I do have a post for this week. It is not often that I can add to Blue Monday.
Well, my Dear, I finally got it right! Thanks
ReplyDeleteLoved the cartoon.You post was
ReplyDeletegreat. I love blue and pink.
Love Carol xx
Love the blues!!
Sally, I hope and pray that you didn't have any trees down. We are in a MESS. I am so tired I could drop.
ReplyDeleteTwo huge trees (oaks) fell from our neighbor's yard into ours, missing our house by five feet. Had it hit the porch, it would have sheered it right off. I have trenches in the yard from where they went down about a foot and a half. And it wiped out about 3/5's of our back hedge. It cost a king's ransom to get it out, but we did... only they have to come back for the stump. AND they might have to access through our yard. Please pray for me, and Fred is sick with the flu. He's up there, and I'm here. I wish you lived around the block. I could use a smiling face right about now. I did get out to an open house today at a friend's shop, and that got my mind off of it for a bit. Although I ran into two of my neighbors who wanted to discuss it. LOL... sigh.
We did need the rain. I just wish it had come sans the tornadoes.
XO,
Sheila :-)
However, God might have taken those trees out for a good reason, so I'm not going to say I'm sorry. He saved our house AND our sprinkler system which our sprinkler men said was a miracle. That's twice trees have gone down away from the house, and the tree lady wrote up our next door neighbor because she has a sick tree hanging over our house. It has to GO, even if I have to help pay for it. I paid for the two that went in our yard because our back door neighbor is fixing the fence. ANd he never said an unkind word the last time, fixed the fence, fixed his house, etc.
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila :-)
