Blue Monday - Swimming Pool

Welcome! It's Blue Monday! For complete instructions, please click here.

Visit other Blue participants by clicking on their links and wishing them a Happy Blue Monday!

Several of you have asked if I'm doing well. Although I am improving bit by tiny bit each day, I'm still experiencing nausea, weakness, dizziness, and fatigue. I've been told that it's all part of my recovery. (You may remember that I was hospitalized for seventy days and given tons of medication during two surgeries.) I went to church yesterday in my wheelchair. At home, I also use a walker. The doctors have said that it will be a long recovery. I'm working with a therapist and still appreciate your prayers.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our neighborhood has a beautiful blue swimming pool. See the blue waterfall in the center?
I also want to call attention to the blue sky.
Although Johnny and I have never used it, our grandchildren have.
Next to the pool is this blue play area.
Happy Blue Monday!
  5. Sally, this is the first time I have checked into my blog in nearly a month, and I dropped over to here to see how you are feeling. I'm so glad to get the report, and I'm happy you were able to get to church. I know you are going to make great progress with your healing, and I am praying that for you, my sweet friend. Sending you much love across the miles straight to your doorstep. Loved seeing the pool and the play area there.
    XO,
    Sheila
  8. Glad to hear you're making some progress! It's always nice to find out that everything you're feeling is an expected part of recovery and not something that makes the doctors go "Hmm.." when you tell them. Keep up the good work and you'll be lounging in that beautiful pool with your grandchildren splashing by as part of your therapy!
    Happy Blue Monday!
  15. Hi Sally, I'm so glad that you are improving, even if it is slowly. My prayers are always for you each day.
    I am confused about the pool. It is not showing on my computer. Unless it is in the background of the playground photo. I am sure your grands love swimming in that nice recreation area. We had the same thing in our neighborhood in Kissimmee. It was lovely for our grands and us too. However, it wasn't a pretty shade of blue.
    We were in FL for the Gator game on Sat. A quick trip. We drove down on Friday and returned on Sunday. They won! Go Gators! Smile.
    Take care and have a good week.
    Love, Jeanne
  28. Nice place! Best wishes, Sally!
    I saw yesterday the movie The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.
    Poor guy was paralyzed after a stroke, but he dictated a book (onto which the film is based) one letter at a time, by blinking his one good eye. Once for yes, twice for no. Perspective...We should all appreciate what we still can do...
  45. Dear Sally, Your recovery, though it may be slow is still a recovery. Each and every day you are a wee bit better. I know it has been a long road and I pray you you will continue to improve. I'm so happy to hear you are up on a walker at home. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
