One Christmas tradition we enjoy is having a birthday cake on Christmas Eve. I know that sounds corny, but we began doing it when the grandchildren were young. The idea was to help them understand the real meaning of Christmas celebration.

One Christmas, when we had no more small children around, I thought about not doing it. My then-fifteen year-old granddaughter insisted that we continue! She declared it a tradition!

Here's a picture of this year's cake. It's yellow cake with chocolate fudge frosting. Note that it's decorated with Blue just for you!

In this shot, I've added Blue candles. We actually light the candles and sing ♬Happy Birthday♪ to Jesus!

I like this shot with a nativity next to the cake stand the best.

It looks too small, but the baker assured me that the cake would serve eight; we had seven around the table. Believe me, there were no leftovers!

Have a Happy New Year's and a

I am still smiling over the advice you gave me about Christmas cards. You have a very strong point. However, I did get them done in spite of my procrastination. HA!
