This serveware was labeled "Simply Designz, Parisian Blue."
I took Johnny's cell and snapped, snapped away so that I could show you.
I checked the price. Hang on to your hats . . . it is $160.00 for the pair!
No, I did not buy these beauties, but I sure did enjoy seeing them. Truth be told, I do not need the flutes.
I have these etched, Blue glasses at home, and they're quite a bit cheaper.
Decades ago, I got this set of eight for S&H green stamps. Remember those?
They came free when you bought groceries!
Do you like to just look when shopping?
Happy Blue Monday!

Hi Sally those are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteNot sure why there are two linkies?
One thing far sure you have good taste. Those glasses are simply beautiful. I would be afraid to drink out of them. I do not know why my link showed up in two places. Perhaps you can delete the wrong one. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteMine is a blue dish too!

Good morning Sally...Lovely and elegant blue finds today. Honestly, I don't like to shop, but if I am in the right mood...my wallet can be in danger. Have a wonderful week.

Spent many hours looking at the S&H green stamp catalog!! Great Blues. Happy Blue Monday

Hi Sally, thanks for hosting !
ReplyDeleteHappy blue Monday !
Good morning Sally, We are going to Galveston this morning to See Shelia at Note Songs. Then heading for home.
ReplyDeleteWe have had a wonderful vacation. However, I am missing our cool mountains.
Love the blue dishes and the flutes. I think your blue footed glasses are very pretty. I sure do remember those stamps. It was fun to save and cash them in for something special. $160. for those flutes. I wonder how many they sell. HA!
Happy Blue Monday my dear blogging friend.
Love, Jeanne
Lovely~
ReplyDeleteI have a special couple for blue monday...
So pretty! I love blue and brown together, though I don't have that combo in my kitchen.
ReplyDeleteYou've given me an idea for blue glasses, though. My dishes have a floral pattern with mostly pink but a little blue (Pfatlzgraf's Tea Rose pattern), and I've trying to find pink glasses unsuccessfully for a long time. But blue glasses would do just as well.
I have Waterford crystal and I'm looking to get rid of it as we never used it.
ReplyDeleteOh I remember getting stamps. We called them Pinky stamps and they were from Steinberg's a now defunct grocery chain in Montreal. I can still see all the things my mother bought with them.
Delicious blue, in the glasses are my favorites. Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteKindred spirits, truly a small "blue" world because I have the same set! I remember mom and I saving blue chip stamps and green ones, too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Sally--I have a surprise pic especially for you today!
ReplyDeleteJohn
These are lovely. Happy Blue Monday Sally!
ReplyDeleteMy Blue Monday.
Those flutes are beautiful! (I would have left them in the store, also!)
ReplyDeleteSally-- I'm so sorry, but I hit the link before the post--please recheck today's Blue Monday- it's a surprise!

Hi Sally! Oh, those glasses are gorgeous. I do love to just browse and see all the pretty things. I remember my mom saving the stamps and she got some dessert dishes with them one time. Thank you for hosting and have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteVery lovely blues. Just looking at them makes me happy already :)

Hi Sally! It's so good to be getting back in the swing of multiple weekly posts again - and being able to visit you on Blue Monday! I'm afraid I had to go off the grid for a few months with my working schedule - I was barely posting twice a week if that and just enough to keep myself alive in Blogland for Tuesday Teatimes and Pink Saturday. Thankfully, I am in a fresh season and hoping to return with more regular posting - and visiting on Blue Mondays when I've some blue to share! Like today - how very blue is my garden. Thanks for hosting - hope this finds you well and joyful in the Lord's blessings!!
ReplyDeleteJoy!

Happy Blue Monday again!
Very pretty blues. I love that stemware. Well I think I got blogger figured out since my last email. It is a little easier than I thought..just hard to get used to. Happy Blue Monday and yes I love window shopping and dreaming about buying a lot more than actually purchasing things.
ReplyDeleteYour header photo is so cute it makes me laugh each time I see it. Thanks for hosting us! Yes, I do remember S & H green stamps and love your blue stemware! Better than those at Macy's!!! :)

I love your blue glasses, the ones from the green stamps!
ReplyDeleteHi Sally, looks like you have champagne taste sweetie. $160 for two. I think I would have just looked at them also. I think your blue glasses are lovely. I'm not a fancy Nancy kind of gal so I actually like your better. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jann
Sally - Fond memories. My grandmother was a S&H green stamp saver.
ReplyDeleteWe saved S&H Green Stamps (growing up) and mom got all kinds of neat things for the house and kitchen. "Those were the days", huh?
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by to say hello! Hugs, Jenn
How cute! Sorry I am late this week! Happy Fathers' day to your husband Sally!
ReplyDeleteHi Sally *hugs*
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Johnny had his cell phone with him so you could snap the pictures of those $80.00 EACH flutes. I would be afraid to use them.
See how well yours have lasted and they weren't near as much...*s*...
I like to window shop and just see whats in the stores...I don't really get influenced to buy when I window shop.
Have a great evening
