Please check back to make certain that you have visited all the Blue participants. We all love comments. If it's too much for one day, consider coming back later in the week.

Tampa is celebrating chocolate by hosting a Festival of Chocolate! Vendors sell a variety of chocolate treats including: Truffles, Cakes, Cookies, Cupcakes, Crepes, Waffles, Ice Creams, Brownies, and Chocolate Drinks. Some chocolate is special enough to include some Blue.
Look at this box of L❤VE-ly chocolate.
Classes are offered for those who want to increase their chocolate designing abilities. (I did not take this class; I would've eaten all the "material.") Please note all the Blue: cabinets, shirts, sweater, sign.
Models strut down the "Yum-way." Chocolate inspired handmade designs are to be admired for their art as well as their skill. Garments are created using wrappers from the designer's favorite candy. I'm showing you the prettiest ones--those with Blue, of course!
This gorgeous, Blue gown is made from Dove candy wrappers. The picture and article can be seen here.
Happy Blue Monday!
Such a unique way to make gown!
ReplyDeleteChocolates surrounded by blues--who could ask for more?
ReplyDeleteSally you are my kinda gal! I would have eaten all the supplies at that candy class too! Hee Hee!
ReplyDeleteGood to be here. I love that Dove dress. Of course, the way I love DOVE chocolate I would never fit into it! LOL!
Blessings, Anne

ReplyDeleteMy skill is sampling chocolate! I am sure that I would give good reports on all of them! Strangely, I have only ever been to one chocolate festival - support group for a coffee festival and I have toured the Cadbury chocolate factory in Tasmania!
ReplyDeleteYummy chocolate! I went to a Death by Chocolate event one year. It was a chocolate tasting bash. Loved it! And it was fun to see all the different ways to taste/eat chocolate.

The candy wrapper gown is very creative. I've seen students making a dress from similar material and it turned out quite nicely too. Happy Monday Sally, and thanks again for hosting Blue Monday.
ReplyDeletefavorite candies: Milk chocolate would be turtles -caramel pecan chocolates. Dark Chocolate would be Nestle's dark chocolate covered raisins.
ReplyDeleteOh, that would be a dangerous workshop for me!
ReplyDeleteHi there Sally! I haven't joined Blue Monday for a while, but seeing all this chocolate convinced me to give it a go again!
ReplyDeleteGetting hungry ...
i would have eaten all the materials, too. *lol* someday, we'd probably be wearing clothes from recycled materials. last week, i saw tote bags made from shampoo sachets and tetra packs.:p

Wow! Thanks for sharing your yummy blues!!!
ReplyDeleteI could get into the chocolate making, except, as you said, I'd be tempted to eat all the results. Those sure are pretty candies! The dresses out of wrappers are a little odd, but interesting.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Sally, Chocolate couldn't be a better subject for Blue Monday.(in my opinion, such as it is) What fun and wouldn't I have loved to be there. My first chocolate love is fudge. Homemade with peanut butter. The fashions were interesting and beautiful. The dove wrappers were much more than I ever dreamed they could be. Smile. Very clever!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling well today.
Love, Jeanne
That would be a truly "sweet" event to attend. I love Snickers. It is amazing what can be done with nothing if you have the know how. Take care Sally.
ReplyDeleteThats ingenious, wonder who ate all that chocolate!! Happy Blue Monday.
ReplyDeleteAnn
Oh wow what a ymmy post! LOL. I love chocolate just plain ole everyday chocolate with nothing in it to mess it up! Thanks for coming by this morning. I really didn't need a nap but you know me I love to use a theme for my posts. I loved the Blue beds so a nap post seemed appropriate!

have a good day...and I wish I could share some of my peach cake with you...and I "found" the lid that fit perfect for the cake plate in my building's room where people leave such kinds of things when they don't want to throw them out...*s*... I was lucky!
