Blogging has changed me. Before I began Blogging, I never even thought to decorate my home for holidays other than Christmas.
Now, just take a look! This first picture is my entrance table, seen just as you step inside the front door. Of course, there's plenty of Blue. I'll show you everything up close in the next few pictures.
Here's my apothecary jar with a bunny seated upon some Blue stones. His eyes are Blue and he's holding some colored eggs, one of which is Blue. Before Blogging, I didn't even know what an apothecary jar was! Now, I use it year round.
Next, another bunny, purchased from a thrift store for $3. Before Blogging, I never knew about the bargains in thrift stores. This bunny sits next to my crystal candy dish, filled with Russell Stover candy, individually wrapped with Blue foil. (One of my traditions, I began after grandchildren is to allow guests help themselves.)
Here's a close-up of a basket filled with a faux chocolate bunny and faux eggs. I bought the bunny at $ store in 2010, and the eggs were 50% off from Pier One after Easter that same year. You'll notice the Blue ribbon tied on the handle of the basket, the tiny Blue ribbon around the bunny's neck, and the Blue netting inside the basket.
The sweet chick is carrying a Blue egg, tied on with a pretty Blue bow. I bought him from Hobby Lobby last year. Bloggers taught me all about Hobby Lobby, and fortunately, one was recently built within driving distance.
This Blue egg was another purchase from the $ store. I have it sitting on a side table in the living room.
On the coffee table, I have a basket, filled with a $ store lamb nestled among pastel colored ceramic eggs, purchased last year from Hobby Lobby. Two of the eggs are Blue. The basket is one I've had awhile, and the Blue marble egg on the black stand outside the basket is a treasured piece I've had forever.
Now I own five!
Although there is no Blue in this next picture, you can see that Blogging continues to change me. Many of you have sweet little nests, and just last Monday, I saw one at Shelia's Note Songs. Inspired, I zipped out to Hobby Lobby and bought the last one they had! It came complete with three white eggs. With my coupon, it was only $2.39. I love that store! My Cloche is engraved and it came from Second Tuesday, after Shelia posted about it in 2009. Thanks, Shelia!
Have a Blessed Easter!
Happy Blue Monday!
