Johnny and I discovered a delightful restaurant. Lunch On Limoges is located in Dade City, Florida, and is well worth the forty-five minutes drive from our house. The tables are covered with teal blue tablecloths, and the place is filled with fascinating things to admire and/or purchase.
Their menu is on a chalkboard, and someone will hand carry it to your table. As soon as we were seated, freshly baked mini muffins were placed on our table, in a little basket, along with strawberry butter. Yum! That set the stage for a lovely meal, and we were not disappointed.
Everything is made with pride from fresh ingredients. Johnny had the pecan chicken. It came with green beans and potatoes. He said that everything was delicious. I chose the chicken salad, which is served with a large helping of fresh fruit. Both plates came with edible flowers to eat. We enjoyed our lunch and plan to return.
Johnny took the picture of our plates in the photo below. He was supposed to get me in the shot. (ah well)
We both felt adventurous and ate our nasturtium blooms.
I found this bit of information on the internet. "One of the most popular edible flowers, nasturtium blossoms are brilliantly colored with a sweet, floral flavor bursting with a spicy pepper finish." Click here for a listing of edible flowers.
Happy Blue Monday!
