Blue Monday - Blue Report

Hello! Welcome to Blue Monday! For complete instructions, just click here.

Sometimes, it SEEMS as if Mr. Linky is not working, but I've discovered that if more than one person is linking in at the same time, it kinda slows down. So, if things seem to jam when you are linking in, just keep trying, and you'll meet with success.

Make someone's day when you wish them a Happy Blue Monday! Please leave a comment for me; I guarantee that I'll visit and leave one for you. Visit other Blue participants by clicking on their links and leaving comments. If it's too much for one day, come back later in the week.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My Blue today is in the form of jokes. I hope they bring you a chuckle.
The results of the MRI is that I've torn my rotator cuff off the bone in several places. Furthermore, it happened so long ago that the muscles are atrophied, making surgery impossible. (All along, I thought the pain I was experiencing was arthritis, and I never checked it out! Instead, it was the rotator cuff. The tear that I felt was the last shred of the muscle pulling away. )
The orthopedic surgeon suggests we try three weeks of therapy. My first appointment is May 14th.
Happy Blue Monday!
  5. I'm hoping that physical therapy does the trick for you, as it did for me. (Among other issues, I had 4 herniated disks, 2 of them torn, and am still power-walking over the Brooklyn Bridge to work each day.) So do what they tell you to do, no matter how hard it is!
  33. Hi Sally,
    Happy Blue Monday! I'm so sorry that your MRI has shown permanent damage. I do hope that the therapy your consultant is proposing at least brings you some relief! My partner recently found out that he has some permanent nerve damage from a prolapsed disc. He's not in any pain thank goodness and will start physio this week to try to reduce the pressure on other discs in his neck. Fingers crossed it helps!
    Take care,
    Sarah
Small wonder since it is no longer Monday :) I'm sorry to hear about your rotator cuff injury. It sounds painful, but I'm really hoping the therapy will help. Thanks for the work you do to keep up this beautiful meme. Your jokes were great!
