My Blue today is Yankee Navy Blue .
Even though he plays baseball for the New York Yankees, shortstop Derek Jeter has made Tampa Bay his home for over twenty years. He's retiring from baseball and plans to remain in the area. This past week, the Tampa Bay Rays had a nice way of saying "goodbye" while saying at the same time, "it's good you're sticking around."
They presented him with several gifts, one of which was a tricked-out kayak, "complete with Navy Blue pinstripes and his iconic number 2. The Yankee's logo also adorns the front." (Josh Cascio, FOX 13 News) You can click on the picture to enlarge it so that you can see the details.

I'm sure the kayak moves along in the water more swiftly with the blue than if it had no blue at all! ;)

I have never been to a pro-baseball game, but did love to play 3rd base when I was a kid. I wonder if you attend the games. Thanks for hosting, Sally. Always love your variety of blues!
