Blue Monday - 57th Anniversary!

This past Tuesday, July 7th, Johnny and I celebrated our 57th anniversary. (Remember, I was  child bride!) We had flowers placed in our church the previous Sunday. Since it was a patriotic service, the flowers were red, white, and Blue. After church, we snapped these shots. You can see the bottom of the HUGE American flag that served as the backdrop for the orchestra and choir.

Coincidentally, on July 7, iHOP, a Blue restaurant, was celebrating their 57th birthday by offering a short stack of pancakes for 57¢. When I heard about this, we HAD to go! After all, this was a DOUBLE CELEBRATION!


The sign below states, "Happy Birthday to us. Happy Breakfast to you." (Bacon and drinks were extra of course.)

Wind and rain left my hair in a mess, so I'm not posting the picture of me taken by Johnny. (He's obviously blinded by love and doesn't see messy hair!) However, here's a picture of him, taken by me. Does this look like a guy who's been stuck for 57 years?

    Darn Sally, I have not had time for my computer and I missed your anniversary. Wow, 57 years is awesome. Congratulations my sweet friends. Bill and I wish you belated happiest of anniversaries.

    I can see you celebrated just the way you wanted. Your flowers are pretty and I love the photo of you both. I don't care if your hair was messy...I wouldn't have posted it if it was me either. Pride wins. LOL.

    With the right combination, you can expect long, happy marriage. I go to iHop once in awhile as I live near one. They cook my bacon like I want it. You and Johnny enjoy each day to the fullest. I wish you nothing but the best.

    57 years....Happiest Anniversary. And, to think IHOP was 57 yrs old, too. WOW...which, by the way, is one of my favorite places to eat. :)
