This week, my daughter, Debi, drove down from Gainesville to visit. She spotted this small Blue plaque in Walmart and bought it for me. The Blue matches perfectly with my bathroom color. I know it looks baby blue in this picture, but the color is actually Sherwin Williams Aqua, a soft turquoise. I had Johnny hang it outside my bathroom entrance.
Here's a close-up.
What a thoughtful gift! Pretty too. Hope you are feeling better, Sally....Christine

ReplyDeleteHello dear Sally
ReplyDeleteOh dear! I tried to link up just now but I've just missed out - your link closed 16 minutes ago..... awe!
I was at work today and tried to link up (your link was still open) but of course I was on my work computer without access to my pictures, so that didn't work either!
A little frustrating - never mind I'll hopefully get there next week.
How kind of your daughter and what a thoughtful gift looking towards Easter Sunday and the Risen Christ.
Thank you for hosting
Shane

ReplyDeleteDear Johnny and family
ReplyDeleteMy deepest condolences. I was so sad to hear this morning of Sally's passing. I know she told us all last week that she was in hospice, but I hoped for a miracle. I only knew Sally though her blog, but she was always so kind and upbeat here and she always made me smile. I know she had deep faith and is now home with the Lord. Please know I will always keep her in my heart and in my prayers.
This news has shaken the blogging community, we all thought so much of this sweet woman. Her faith was so prominent and I appreciated that. How wonderful the plaque she just received from a daughter. She will certainly be missed but she is dancing with the angels.
ReplyDeleteAnn
To Sally's dear family,
ReplyDeletePraying right now that God will give you peace and that you will be surrounded by His comfort in the loss of your dear wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She always had kind words on her blog and comments on other blogs.
So sorry for your loss on this earth and the grief you will bear.
Happy to know Sally is with our Lord and Savior...
Dear Johnny and all of Sally's wonderful family,
ReplyDeleteI was stunned to receive the news today of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I started posting in Blue Monday as it was just such a positive theme, a great way to spread some joy at the start of the week. I may never have met Sally but through her blog we all got to see the beautiful family that had grown up around her and just how much she loved every one of you! I may not be as religious as your family and many others who post here, but I am a very spiritual person and a great believer in family. I will keep posting Blue Mondays in Sally's honour. I will never forget her!
In deepest sympathy,
Sarah Williams née Longes

ReplyDeleteDear Johnny and family,
ReplyDeleteI am saddened to hear your beloved Sally has passed. I 'met' her years ago at Spiritual Sundays when I first started to blog. She was gracious, witty, and always encouraged you if you were going through a rough patch. She adored her family, loved blue and didn't like muffins. I still smile at that! She was a kind friend to all who knew her here in Blogland. Sally will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The Lord bless and comfort you all at this time. You will be in my prayers.
Blessings,
Sandi
To Sally, her family and her blogging friends,
ReplyDeleteI am so very saddened to hear of the passing of this dear lady. I was able to link up something blue to this post and she commented right after I linked up as she always did. Sally will be missed and many bloggers are greatly saddened by this news. I am asking fellow bloggers to please do a special blue post on this coming Monday to honor Sally. She fought her health issues long and hard but now she is at rest and peaceful and we were all lucky to have her with us !!
