Blue Monday - Smiling Sally's Gift

Hello! Welcome to Blue Monday! For complete instructions, just click here.

Make someone's day when you wish them a Happy Blue Monday!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you're reading this, I've gone to Heaven. I've been under Hospice care since May, but I didn't want to mention it.
Many years ago, I made a decision to accept the gift of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. Now my time on earth has ended, and because of that decision, I'm in a much better place.
God has provided the Gift of Heaven. I'm leaving you a few Bible verses that will show you how to receive this gift.
1. "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" ~ Romans 3:23
2. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life" ~ Romans 6:23
3. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." ~ John 3:16
You may be asking yourself what God requires, or exactly what you’ll need to change. The Bible shows us in simple terms what God is asking of us: believe, confess, and receive.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” ~ Romans 10:9
I've enjoyed my time with you and I hope to see you in Heaven!
    Sally will dearly be missed but never forgotten. She was a beloved blogger friend to many and an example of what blogging was when we all first started out in Blogging and a true example of what blogging should be. It should be about friendship, kindness and compassion. And Sally was all of that.....
    Rest in Peace , my friend......
  4. I loved Sally and am thankful for her faith and witness. While I express my deepest sympathy to her family on this loss, I rejoice with them that we will all be together again with her in Heaven through our shared faith in our beloved Lord Jesus Christ.
    Sally was one of my early blogging friends, and I tried to do Blue Monday as often as possible, though I have not been blogging much of late. Meeting her both on the blog and in person was a real blessing to me. Sally was so lovely and loved you, her family, as well as her blogging family deeply. She will be sorely missed, but I count myself blessed for having known her.
    My love and prayers,
    Sheila (The Quintessential Magpie)
  32. I read all of these beautiful comments and long to connect with each and every person. Dear sweet Sally, from a purely human perspective it's been hard seeing you go. But then you didn't live your life from a human perspective, and I know you are hoping we can all look at your parting as seeing you off to a much better place. And I do. I will think of you when I see anything blue, which is often because it's my favorite, too. Thank you for encouraging me along this road of preparing to become a teacher. Thank you for your stories and your smiles and your unsinkable spirit. I love you.
  58. Today, after a year of no blogging I decided to write and as in the past, the first person that came to mind was Sally's blue blog because she was one of my first faithful bloggers who always found time to comment on my posts and honestly she kept me coming back every time. Never met her but I loved her friendship and will miss her. May she rest in a sea blue, peaceful and always loved. Our dear Smiling Sally, you will be missed by many.
  62. And family, I have not blogged in years. When I started, years ago, Sally was one of my first "blogging Friends". She even checked on me often when I fell ill a few years ago. I signed onto my blog a few moments ago and Blue Monday was my last post. I, of course, followed the link here first. Thankful that we both know Jesus Christ as our Lord & Savior, and one day, we will meet in person, in heaven.
  63. I am so saddened by this. Sally was one of my first blogging friends as well. I haven't really blogged for a quite some time and didn't realize she was not well. I left a couple of posts in the last year and only today realized there were some waiting for me to accept. Sadly Sally's post was there and when I clicked over to leave her a message I found hers.
    I so enjoyed reading about her love for blue and her life and her family.
    God Bless,
