Details on House

Last Wednesday, I tried to show you the tile roof. These shots show it better than last week's. Do you see any other new details? (Hint: try to ignore the sand and mortar bags in the front yard. They're for later.)

Corner bead has been attached. Next comes stucco!

And look here--insulation has been placed. Notice the blue color on the bottoms of the studs. That's termite prevention applied. The picture below is a bedroom; you can make out the closet.

The picture below is the garage with drywall waiting to be hung after inspection.

Susan at A Southern Daydreamer is the gracious hostess for Outdoor Wednesday. Participants post pictures of anything that they might find outdoors.

  4. How exciting to have a new house! Years ago we had a house built and the thing I remember most vividly was how small it looked when they first poured the foundation, but as each step was accomplished: the walls up, the partitions for the rooms in, the fixtures and flooring in place.. it seemed to appear *bigger.* LOL I never could figure that out.. seemed like it should have been the reverse. Anyhoooo....

    Have a wonderful day☺

Sally, I used to sell new homes for a local builder, and enjoyed it so much when the buyers would come out to see the progression of their new house...it was so much fun for me to see the anticipation in their faces. I always wanted to buy a new house, but it hasn't happened..yet! This is so exciting for you...can't wait to see it finished!

  15. Everything is coming along just great! Pretty soon your interior won't be "Outdoor Wednesday" material. Although, in the federal government the people responsible for the National Parks are the Department of the Interior...Hmmm...
