I've been showing pictures of our new home, and today I have our Family Room to share with you. Last week, I teased you with a peek, looking from the Dining Room. Here's a copy of that shot.
Although blue is both Johnny's and my favorite color, it gets only a slight nod in our Family Room. Do you spot it?
Here's a closer shot. I've turned the lamps on so that you might see the blue more clearly.
Give up? Here's a close-up of our blue pitcher. Placing it here, draws the eye from the front door. I like to have rooms flow into one another. You've seen the Foyer, Living Room, and Dining Room, so you know that there's plenty of blue to be seen in those areas. I imagine that some would argue these rooms don't flow; however, we're pleased with the results.

What a pretty and inviting room. I just love those lamps! I like all of the colors you chose. Very pretty! You have done a wonderful job decorating your new home.
ReplyDeleteGood morning my friend. I spotted the wall behind the china cabinet that is a pastel blue. Also blue pieces in the cabinet. It is a beautiful touch. However, I LOVE your accent wall in the family room. You stepped away from your pastels and it looks beautiful. The single blue pitcher is all you need to bring the rooms together. The red lamp and the blue pitcher together is lovely. I think the rounded doorway is lovely and I think that is a shelf where the greenery is displayed. The detail in the construction is the added touch of surprise. Sally, can you tell, I love your new home and your decor? BIG smile!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Jeanne
