Welcome! It's Blue Monday! For complete instructions, please click here.
Because my favorite color is blue, you might think that our Christmas tree is blue. It's not. It's a myriad of colors.
Our Christmas tree contains a variety of ornaments collected over many decades. Some were given to us from special people. Some are handmade. I call our tree a "memory" tree. Most of the ornaments are NOT blue. However today I'm showing you only the blue ornaments.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When decorating our Christmas tree, we have a tradition. Since they were tiny, my son's three girls do the job while we play Christmas carols. Afterwards, we all enjoy hot apple cider (without alcohol) and Christmas cookies.
The angel is placed on the top of the tree first. We rotate so that all have equal turns. This year was Jenna's turn.
I got so carried away with the music, memories, and treats, that I forgot to take pictures of Brittany, Lauren, and her fiance, Christian. Ah well.
This snowman has a Blue hat.
Ann of Anne Fannie's Green Acres made this Blue star for me several years ago.
I'm impressed with her kind generosity and creative skill.
She has an Etsy store listed on the the sidebar of her blog.
This Blue ornament is one I made; it's my one of my favorites.
There's some blue at the bottom of this tree ornament.
This tiny toy soldier has eyes of Blue, and he wears Blue pants.
I made this Blue ornament from a kit many years ago.
In the right corner, you can spot a bird with a Blue mailbox.
It's easy to see the Blue on this happy guy.
This box has Blue in the background.
It's hard to find the Blue on this ornament, but some of the beads are Blue.
I made this baby Blue angel too.
Is your Christmas tree a memory tree or do you stick with one or two colors?
Happy Blue Monday!
Sally, enjoyed seeing your pretty ornaments. Also, you have a beautiful granddaughter. I am sure the others are equally as pretty. So happy you are able to be home with your family and not in a hospital. We need to stay away from those places as much as possible. Best wishes for the holidays.
Beautiful Christmas decorations.
ReplyDeleteello Sally, I just wrote a long comment and when I hit publish Google came up and my post disappeared. Google has messed up my comments before and it is very annoying. Such is life.
ReplyDeleteJenna is so pretty and she looks so happy to be the one who places the angel on the tree. Your tree ornaments are all sweet but I love the ones you made the best.
Blessings and prayers to you dear Sally for your continued improvement in your health and strength.
Love, Jeanne
