Blue Monday - A Peacock!

Hello! It's Blue Monday! For complete instructions, just click here.

Don't you love to get comments? I think we all do. Turn about is fair play. Do you notice that some do not return your comment? (Tsk Tsk) One Blogger told me that she uses the comments left for me to guide her. She goes to those blogs, thinking that if a Blogger did leave a comment for the hostess (me), they would be one to return a comment. What do you think?

See what other Blue participants share by clicking on their links. Make someone's day when your wish them a Happy Blue Monday!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On one of his recent walks, Johnny spotted a peacock. Thinking of Blue Monday, he quickly snapped these shots. See the peacock in the center of this shot?
Johnny was hoping that the peacock would show off his beautiful tail feathers, but he just kept wandering around.
Upon closer inspection, this guy's tail is perhaps too small to display.
But, isn't he a pretty Blue?
I found this short (1 min. 55 sec.) video on YouTube of a peacock "displaying."
You'll be able to hear his screech too.
Happy Blue Monday!
  8. Great photos. I love the bird and animal world, and nature in general.
    Re Comments: I return as many as I can, but I have a slow connection, and most bloggers have very busy, bandwidth hungry pages (lots of photos posted at high resolution, videos, and live gadgets). It can take me up to five minutes to load a single page, more on some blogs. By the way a BBC news page takes less than 15 seconds to load.
    So I don't always return comments because I can't spend an hour or more visiting only twelve blogs.
    I always visit the few blogs that I know load quickly. Yours is OK.
    Thanks for this great meme.
  13. Beautiful blue on a peacock! I don't remember seeing a lot of the color in any peacock I saw in the past (it was mostly green). Glad to see this today!
  15. Great captures. We have them roaming around the ranches nearby and these lovely birds with their spectacular display have visited us once or twice. Indeed, they are a bit loud but oh, so majestic!
  17. I love peacocks! It always amazes me how showy they are (well and how noisy but I guess when you are that beautiful you can let the world know!)... hope this week's entry is blue enough -- it is sort of more teal to me but I put that into the blue category!
  20. I really love it when male peacocks are doing a grand display of their tales. It looks like magic to me when all those patterns are formed.
    So sweet. Thanks again for the blue.
    I went on a vacation (imaginary) this week.
    Come by and dream. And come by next week I am actually going to show something I made!
  22. Happy Blue Monday to you, Sally! I always leave a comment for the hostess, and, as time permits, try to visit and comment on those that 'touch' my heart or pique my interest! There are rude bloggers, unfortunately. I like to reciprocate. xo P.S. I need to get my "blue" on so I can link!
  24. Hi Sally, It took me hours to do this post so I decided to leave it up for today too. We are finally getting our feet back on the ground. Thank you for your sweet comment about our anniversary celebration. I'm so glad you liked everything. We have a lifetime of memories of our special day. It is so hard to believe 50 years have gone by. Your comment about us and our family and friends was kind and so appreciated. We are blessed indeed.
    I agree about the comments and return visits. So many just reply by email or not at all and that is always a disappointment. I wish I could visit more. I am trying, especially since I no longer have myself all wrapped up in planning our party. I feel free again. HA!
    The peacock pic is awesome. Johnny did well. Those birds do not have a friendly attitude. Smile. I love when they spread their tail. It is a stunning display. The video is an excellent example of these lovely birds.
    Hope you are having sunny days.
    Love, Jeanne
  29. Sally, the peacock is amazing. Interesting that it is wandering your neighborhood. Is it wild or does it belong to a resident?
    How amazing that a peacock was wandering around in your neighborhood. Blue truly is everywhere. :) Thanks for sharing the photos because I have only seen a few peacocks in real life.
    Thank you also for hosting Blue Monday. It's always a treat to see blue in so many places.
  32. Gorgeous! And that color could only be reproduced by God!
    I sent you an email regarding your question about the shell heart, and I don't know if you got it. Just wanted you to know I hadn't forgot about you asking.
    Sending you great big hugs.
    XO,
    Sheila
