Although blue is my favorite color, I will admit that sometimes a blue just doesn't work. The other day we were driving along, searching for things blue.
We noticed this beautiful, blue sky.
Then I spotted this freshly painted house. I had Johnny pull the car over, and I took these pictures to share with you.
It must have taken hours and hours to paint the individual bricks.
Ah well, to each his own.

Sunny Autumn greetings from Australia♥ ~Pernilla
Wow! That sure was a lot of work....Christine
ReplyDeleteI have to say that the house makes me a little dizzy just looking at it. Definitely must have been a labor of love for them though.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week,
Robin
Perhaps the owner needs to go out more..... although perhaps not. He/she provided you with a wonderful photo opportunity.
ReplyDeleteHappy multi-coloured Blue Monday to you!
That house's color scheme is certainly is a conversation starter...lol!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday, Sally!
It's a lot of work but it turned out pretty well. I like it. I played too. Mine are here and here.
ReplyDeleteIf they wanted their wall that way, my guess is that they didn't mind to do the work:) Happy Monday:)
ReplyDeletethis is a pretty busy wall, and it doesn't look so bad--retro.:p reminds me of the houses in my childhood--bungalows in the 60's and 70's.
ReplyDeleteHi Sally...I'm Baaaack...after a busy month of April with the AtoZ Challenge. I've missed Ya'll here on Blue Monday.
ReplyDeleteWow..to each his own is right! Here's my guess....left over paint from multiple projects. Waste Not Want Not. LOL!!!

ReplyDeleteIt is certainly an eye catcher and nice conversation piece. I did not have time to do s better blog due to circumstances out of my control. I am okay tho.
ReplyDeletetiles, Wow; nice; Have a Happy Monday
ReplyDeletemuch love...
Thanks for hosting, Sally. I always look forward to this fun meme!
ReplyDeleteOh my! That is quite the brick coloring job! Well at least they can't claim they couldn't find their house LOL! I wonder if they wear argyle socks?
ReplyDeleteI've seen buildings that were all blue brick, and they looked nice, though a little old-fashioned. But that combination is jarring to the eyes, at least to mine. I wonder if the owners ended up liking it or wishing they hadn't done it.
ReplyDeleteSally, I've got trouble in linking. I've tried twice, but I always face network error page when I'm trying to enter the thumbnail.

Great find, Sally. Very unique house!
Hi Sally, Michele from Finch Rest sent me here. I'm a new follower :) Thanks for hosting and have a happy week!
ReplyDeleteHello Sally: Funny house,,but I have a feeling an artist lives there who was not happy with the color of the brick and decided to paint them rather than move! I had a friend who once tried it...to no avail!! Her DH saw her project and freaked out! Thanks for hosting us! Happy Blue Monday~ dix---
ReplyDeleteunusual brickwork but I rather like it myself.
ReplyDeleteWOW. That, um is very unique.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting. Have a wonderful week, Sally!
Wonderful color compositions, interesting!
ReplyDeleteSally, I have truly never seen anything like that before! WOW! That is really something. Do you think they might have painted the bricks before they put them on the house? Or do you thnk they just took hours and hours to paint them individually? I have never seen anything like it. Glad you got this shot.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well there. i was going to particpate in Blue Monday today, but I have to leave later to go out of town and wan't have internet access to visit. So I am bummed out because I had somethng cute and blue to share. I hope I can get up to speed wth posting in the next month or so.

ReplyDeleteHi, Sally, I'm with you, "what were they thinking" when they painted the individual bricks?
ReplyDeleteJudith
Hi, Sally, I linked two posts this wee. My life is so full of blue I could link blue every day of the week. :)
ReplyDeleteJudith
That was a lot of work! They must like it,it looks sorta mind blowing,I couldn't look at it very long. lol
ReplyDeleteI bet this was a big project...it reminds me of a back splash in a kitchen or tile in shower...very colorful!
ReplyDeleteThanks always for stopping by. I'm really happy with the outfit I found, the dress is a "Maxi Dress" and I worried it would be too long since I am only 5'2, but it fits perfect and it's very forgiving! ;-) I may just wear it all summer!
XO,
Jane
Sally, Pink Floyd would love this house. Have a great week.
ReplyDeletewow, that is, by far, the ugliest house I've ever seen.:(
ReplyDeleteHi Sally, We have been on the go all day and I didn't want to miss Dancing with the Stars. However, I won't miss visiting you if I can help it. Smile.
ReplyDeleteThe house colors on the bricks is so not to my liking. To each his own!!! They are marching to a different drummer. HA!
Thank you so much for the sweetest comments last week and this...about our anniversary celebration. We did have a great time and have wonderful memories to treasure. Your comments definitely made us Smile real BIG. We are so blessed with loving family and friends. That includes you and it means so much to us both.

What an exciting day! Congratulations to the graduate! You must be so proud. Your daughter has such a beautiful family and I love the children's names! I think it's really nice that they had a big screen in the auditorium...how long did it take for that idea to come to mind?!
ReplyDeleteYou look wonderful, Sally! I'm so sorry to hear you have to have a hip replacement. My mom had one when she was in her sixties and made an excellent recovery. I hope for the same with you.
Thanks so much for coming by, your compliments made me blush! And Emily really was a gorgeous bride!
Have a wonderful week!
XO,
Jane
