Our daughter's oldest son, Zachary, graduated from the University of Florida last weekend, and Johnny and I went to Gainesville to join in the experience. Notice please, all the Blue: Zachary's shirt, Johnny's shirt, and my blouse. (I am seated in a wheelchair because of my bad, right hip. My hip replacement surgery is scheduled for August 1st.)
Pictured below is our daughter's family: Pierce, Michael, Debi, Caeli, Zachary, and Ara. Caeli graduated from UF last year and is now working on her Master's. Ara plans to graduate from UF next year. Pierce, 14, is still being homeschooled and plans on attending UF in the future.
We arrived early, and I had Debi take a shot of the Blue auditorium. (The colors of the school are Blue and orange.) The large Blue sign is next to a huge screen that shows close-ups of the grads walking across the stage. This was one of many commencement ceremonies as this Spring there were a total graduating of 9,000!
This shot was taken from the giant screen as Zachary crossed the stage. Plenty of Blue here.

ReplyDeleteI wish I had some blue this week, but I only have pink and white. I had been asked to join a blog party that is seasonal and centered on the movie "Steel Magnolias" so pink was in order. I didn't get it up till Sunday because I came back from a trip to Central Florida exhausted. I nearly broke my foot, too. It was a looooooooong week. LOL
Love you,
Sheila
Just found your blog and our love for all shades of blue!

Hi Sally, it is so nice to see your comment. I was lucky to get the plant stand. I like our deck to be a bit rustic here in the mountains.
ReplyDeleteIt was 80 today. Summer is on it's way. I hope it doesn't get too hot.
Did you watch Idol tonight? The final two are amazing singers. They will announce the winners tomorrow night. I know you love music.
