We live in a developing neighborhood that has several houses under construction. Recently, we discovered this "wannabe" blue house. Notice the different shades of blue in the sky.
It turns out that blue is the color of the material that is under the finished house color. You can still see a bit of blue peeking out at the bottom of the house.
Happy Blue Monday!

You've really trained your eyes to see blue everywhere, haven't you? :)
ReplyDeleteI like the house. It's so cool in the eyes, simple.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a beautiful home, Sally! My house is a light yellow with brown trim. Happy Blue Monday!
ReplyDeleteLike the colors of the new owners. My house is yellow on the outside:)

ReplyDeleteMy house is old (1880) and has bright paint. I have a dream, intense blue to paint it one day, as a tribute to Frida Kahlo...
ReplyDeleteHappy blue monday :-)
funny, i like the blue shades better on the house ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Sally. I did have blue this week, painted a bunch of frames turquoise blue.
ReplyDeleteRain and wind. Rain. Coastal BC

Even though I don't like blue as a house colour, I think this house actually looked better in blue!
ReplyDeleteMy house is red with a bright blue door!
Happy Blue Monday Sally,
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the new occupants wonder who it is that keeps taking their photograph! ;D
My house is mainly granite so you could say it's grey...but when the sun shines it sparkles! :D
Have a great week and thanks for hosting.
Happy Blue Monday, Sally... and thank you for hosting each week :) Our house is a light cream brick home with a blue roof and a light blue front door. Spring greetings from Australia♥ ~Pernilla
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful house, Sally! Have a great week!..Christine

ReplyDeleteHi Sally! Love your blue skies as well! Thanks so much for hosting! I really appreciate the chance to show off my sister's art!
ReplyDeleteNice to see the house building in evolution, Sally. My house is brown brick on the outside.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting.
Good morning Sally, Another week flies by and my sister is doing very well. God's blessings abound.
ReplyDeleteThe stone is a wonderful transition. In fact, the home is gorgeous. How lovely to see such a beautiful addition to your neighbor. I know the feeling of moving into a new home and it is a joy for sure.
My home is kind of beige siding with green accents. Very common in this part of the country. I think I would rather have a different color. An afterthought. Smile!
Happy Blue Monday my dear friend.
Interesting blue. We have a condo going up near us and they are using a bright green underneath which is so pretty it is too bad t hey will cover it up.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture for a Blue Monday.
Oh Sally this is sweet! My house is brownish red brick with a green trim! I have always loved blue and would like to change the trim. Happy Blue Monday! I was trying to help my hubby in the garage and came across a few of my Norman Rockwell prints. I know you shared Rockwell here last week and I immediately thought about you! Hugs Anne
ReplyDeleteFascinating post and blue photos of the house construction ~ Happy Blue Monday ~
ReplyDeleteps. my house is grey blue ~ not very intriquing but the view from the house is magnificent!

ReplyDeleteSally, great eye for seeing blue everywhere. Our home is clay-colored siding.
ReplyDeleteThe taste of builders and owners has changed so much over the years, you may actually see a house all blue outside. The way they build them around here, you can see just about anything. That looks like a very nice addition.
ReplyDeleteMust be nice to live somewhere where the sky is so nice and blue!
ReplyDeleteLovely blues the sky is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove the house I could live there.
Interesting pics.
Did you meet and tell the new owners the house is famous?
Have a good week.
Pretty house. I like the stone, but I like the blue, too! Our house is partial stone just like that, but I think the underneath material is just ordinary white. I think I would have been tempted to keep the house all blue!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday, Sally. And thanks so much for keeping this going!
wow! quite a house. I live in a brick house, very popular in this part of Virginia
ReplyDeleteGosh, I think anything blue just pops out at you! I would have never noticed that. That's a lovely home, and some nice blue skies as well.
ReplyDeleteHi Sally...Looks like Blue is the up and coming look in your neighborhood. I'd say that was kind of unusual for a house, but that sky is gonna always be some shade of blue. Yay for new neighbors! Glad to be back for Blue Monday this week. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteYes, some nice pictures, beautiful design, I love the bright blue wall! Greetings!
ReplyDeleteHi Sally, thank you for adding the picture. I have no idea what I did wrong. I tried three times to add the picture and it wouldn't work so, I figured my link just didn't even go through. I was going to try again later this afternoon. Thank you for hosting!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful home.
ReplyDeleteOur home was painted in different colors, but the exterior was light yellow.

Well, what a cool blog! And I have just linked up for my FIRST BLUE MONDAY!!! Couldn't resist sharing my photo of some gorgeous BLUE SKY...and that reminds me of an Allman Brothers song...YOU'RE MY BLUE SKY, YOU'RE MY SUNNY DAY...
ReplyDeleteTurned out to be a great photo of a beautiful house. Love those columns in the front of it and the pretty blue sky. Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteVery nice series of house blues! Mine is earth tan with terra cotta trim.
ReplyDeleteI preferred it in blue, I think. I looked at a new house yesterday and the kitchen cupboards were bright blue. Then i realised, that just like this house, it was just a protective cover! They were off-white underneath!
ReplyDeleteHi Sally, sorry for not writing my comment right away... I was on the phone with the beau :)
ReplyDeleteFirst, your answer on what color is your house, I'd say it's dirty white... being in the city...
But my home in the province is peach and green :) I like the idea too of a blue house like this cause blue is always calming, as you see what I've written on my post.
All the best for the start of a new month! :)
Hi Sally, my broach is dark blue and... I have a blue Medalta tumbler in another picture. Thanks for hosting, always enjoy your Blue Monday.

Hi Maam Sally,
ReplyDeleteSOrry for not linking into your blog. It happened that my laptop is having trouble uploading photos.
I am not sure what is the problem. It says "SERVER REJECTED".
I am at my cousin's house after my dance lesson now and just borrowed her PC to link.
Thank you.

Your blue skies look lovely! We are into the rainy season so it's a lot of grey skies and rain here, with a blackout, thankfully short, last night. We find out quickly how much we are addicted to our electronic devices. My house is white with a brown roof, boring.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday Sally *hugs*
ReplyDeleteWonderful blues in the skies for sure. The house is lovely too and so interesting to see the outside come together so well...now Sally the next quest is to see if they will let you picture any blues inside..*s*... I really enjoy your blues.
have a good week..
Judi xo
I forgot to say...red brick outside and the cottage is yellow...alas no blues..
ReplyDeleteJudi
Great Pics! Our home is a light beige color.
ReplyDeleteHi Sally, Just came over from Loui's blog because I saw your comment about Ovarian Cancer and had to find out more about you. My sister lost her battle to it 8 yrs ago, after fighting it for 8 yrs. Great job conquering it. I'd love to hear more of your story. I haven't seen anything yet here on it but will keep looking.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen
great shots; our house is grayish and looks boring :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sally, I don't know why I have such a hard time at your site, but I do. Didn't even realize that I posted a photo. Thank you for your help, and thank you for hosting.
