Driving down the road the other day, Kelly Clarkson was singing the song, "Blue Christmas." I took a picture of my car radio. You can see plenty of Blue.
Here's the lyrics.
I'll have a Blue Christmas without you
I'll be so Blue just thinking about you
Decorations of red on a green Christmas tree
Won't be the same dear, if you're not here with me
And when those Blue snowflakes start falling
That's when those Blue memories start calling
You'll be doin' all right, with your Christmas of white
But I'll have a Blue, Blue Blue Blue Christmas
You'll be doin' all right, with your Christmas of white,
But I'll have a Blue, Blue Christmas
Yesterday, Elvis came on our radio singing the same song!
I found Elvis singing it on the internet. He said that it was his favorite Christmas song! You can click here for a video of him singing it.
Happy Blue Monday!

What a great blue choice. It's hard to pick one favourite, but I do like "White Christmas" and "Driving Home for Christmas"
ReplyDeleteChristmas music certainly doesn't make me blue! Merry Christmas (a wee bit early).
ReplyDeleteI seldom hear that song nowadays but I do remember it from many years ago; heard it sang by a church choir at a Christmas concert. Happy Monday, Sally.

ReplyDeleteLove Elvis and I love Christmas music! Hope you have a great week Sally ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Sally, better late then never. This week was getting ready for our Garden Club Christmas luncheon which was held today. What a big relief it is over. It was a huge success. It is a big deal and held in our Methodist church fellowship room. I organize it every year. The planning is huge and I didn't get to call you this week. Thankfully, I do not have any more big events to plan before Christmas. I still have to finish decorating and send cards. My Christmas shopping is done as well. Whew, I am so happy.
ReplyDeleteWe play Christmas music constantly and I love the song Blue Christmas. I have to say your radio really does light up very blue. Smile. I am also a big fan of Elvis.
I think you will enjoy the author I featured. She is humorous and no foul language.
Lets talk on Weds.
Love, Jeanne
Liebe SAly, lange nicht getroffen, super Tag für dich, Klaus
ReplyDeleteHi Sally. Sorry I wasn't able to leave comments last night, but I have to sleep sometime. Of course I'm coming back to see other posts.
ReplyDeleteI like Kelly Clarkson, but it would be impossible to sing a better version than Elvis.
My favorite Christmas song right now is Faith Hill's Where Are You Christmas.
