~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is smiling sally's first born grandchild, Lauren, writing for her. Here is her story.
On Tuesday, December 23rd I was rushed to the emergency room with shortness of breath and chest pains. Notice it's Blue.
Look it's Blue inside and out. Notice these Blue halls and carpeting. This hospital is loaded with Blue!
Look, even the hospital gown is Blue. Please don't look too closely at the no make up or messy hair.
Jane sent me this beautiful Christmas tree from Pennsylvania. Notice the Blue ribbons! She had the florist intertwine the ribbons, just for me. She didn't realize that I'd be in the hospital! This beautiful tree was my only Christmas decoration!
My daughter-in-law, Sharon, said, "If you're going to be in the hospital for Christmas we'll bring Christmas to you!" and my son's entire family came! We were able to share gifts, laugh together, and visit.
It was truly my favorite Christmas ever!
How was your Christmas?
Happy Blue Monday!
  22. Sally! I hate that you were in the hospital! I am so sorry, but I am relieved to hear you had a good time visiting with your loved ones.
    We had a quiet Christmas by choice. I am still trying to get my strength back. Mr. Magpie worked late Christmas Eve. But we celebrated Christmas in our hearts. I didn't have a tree. But I tried to decorate the table and did wrap and deliver gifts. We had invitations out which we politely declined. It was necessary.
    Please let me know how you are now. I wish there were something I could do to help, but sometimes rest is the best alternative as I'm finding out.
    Love you and glad that the hospital was at least BLUE.
  23. I hope you are fully recovered now Sally.
    I haven't posted a blue Monday for quite some time mainly because I haven't had blue included in my posts. I've missed the fun ;D
    Your tree is beautiful and I'm glad even in your unforeseen circumstances that you were able to enjoy a Christmas with your loved ones around you.
    Happy New Year and may all of your Monday's be blue (if you see what I mean)
