Since I'm to keep my feet up, I'm writing this on my new laptop!

Please leave a comment for me; I guarantee that I'll visit and leave one for you. Visit other Blue participants by clicking on their links and leaving comments. If it's too much for one day, come back later in the week.

Make someone's day when you wish them a Happy Blue Monday!

Today, I'm showing you a Blue plastic cover over a local newspaper--in other words, Blue News!

So many of you sent me love last week. Several mentioned my "recovery." Sad to say, there is no recovery. CHF (Congestive Heart Failure) is a condition that will not get better without open-heart surgery, and my kidneys will not tolerate surgery. (I've known that I had CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) for some time, but I had no clue about the heart condition! Therefore, we will go the conservative method of medication and diet.

Not to worry. When it's time for me to go, I'm all packed! (Of course, I'm showing Blue

While in the hospital, one of my doctors, leaned against the wall, smiled and said, "I wish that all of my patients had your faith and your attitude."

I told him that it was straight from the Bible--that I trusted in Jesus. One day I'll be dancing on those streets of gold!

This is why I'm still smiling.

This week will be filled with doctor visits--I have three appointments. I should have much more information next week.

Happy Blue Monday!

  8. Wonderful that you are still smiling having those 2 big conditions but when one has Faith in our Lord, that it how it should be, even through at times it can be difficult. Continue on in Hope and Joy and a HAPPY NEW YEAR to you.

  9. Well, Sally, I missed the last two "blue" postings and so am shocked to read that you have been in hospital. Your faith, your sense of humor, your loving family and friends, good doctors.. clearly there are a lot of things that are keeping your smiles bright, in spite of such a serious condition. I am convinced that the right diet and medications, added to all of the other positives in your life, will give you more quality time with us before you need to make use of that luggage.. even if it is blue :) We will be thinking about you and hoping for the best possible outcome. In the mean time, happy blue Monday!

  13. Just saw that you've been sick....so sorry to hear that. However, your Faith is such a blessing to read about first thing this morning. God knows exactly what is in your future. It is all in His perfect timing and it is all good. I do hope you get relief in your breathing and that you can manage this condition for a good long while. You are very loved.

  14. I am sure you are glad to be home, Sally. As you say, with a good attitude, faith and good medical regimen, you still have many, many more Blue Mondays up your sleeve. All the best!

  15. We're so blessed that Jesus loves us, and to live in a time when techs, meds and really good doctors help us thru these hard times. What do people that have no faith in God do when THEY have hard times?
Glad you're home and feeling well enuf to post. If you are like me, you will fall so in love with the laptop, you'll give up the desktop.

  21. Sally sorry to hear about your latest diagnosis. My Dad has had CHF for about 10 years now. He is 86. He was doing really good but really has to watch his diet and fluids etc. God Bless you and Happy New Years!

  22. Hi Sally,

I can empathise to an extent. I'm in and out of hospital for appointments and procedures all the time for my Crohn's and associated disorders! Today was physio and acupuncture. It's at a hospital in London right opposite Westminster and the Houses of Parliament which is always great to see and photograph :-) I admire your attitude and wish you success with dietary changes and medication. I have so many pills I rattle when shaken ;-)

    Stay strong,
    Sarah

  28. Hello Sally, This comment is so late. I'm sorry dear. Truthfully, your post really struck home as to how serious your health condition is and I had a hard time commenting. Your faith is inspiring and your strength in your faith is comforting. I just had to come to terms with it because I am so sad that you have to suffer so much. I wish I could help you but I know that is not practical. Just know my prayers are constant for you to be comfortable as possible.

After reading your comments I was amazed that many of the people just do not get the extent of your health problems. Almost denial. Sigh!

Know that I love you dear,
    Jeanne
