Just Talk Like He's Your Friend

No one talks like this, but I know we've all experienced spoken prayer that sounds like this stilted conversation. Relax and speak to God as if He's your friend. He will be.

Spiritual Sundays are hosted by gracious Ginger and charming Charlotte. To visit other participants, click here.

See you tomorrow for Blue Monday!

Good one, Sally! We should always speak to our God with reverence but also as a Friend because that is who He is. Have a beautiful Easter week celebration.

Blessings,
Sandi

This is one of the best of these cartoons I have seen, and your comment was right on.

Adorable reminded that we just need to talk like we would to anyone--we don't have to be fancy or make some big speech. Thanks for the reminder.

Thou art my good friend, Sally, and thou art one of my favorite friends, Sally. Thou always cometh up with funny cartoons and doeth well by thy friends.

Checking in before I'm MIA again. I explained all on my blog.

Hope you're feeling much better. I won't have computer access for a bit, but I will call soon...

XO,

Sheila :-)

A good reminder that God meets us where we are at. We don't have to talk fancy, just humble ourselves to Him.

I hope and pray you are recovering nicely from your surgery, Sally.

My mother used to tell me when she prayed, she didn't use any fancy words. She just talked to Him... "like He's my friend because He is." I've since adopted that as to how I pray and have since passed it along to my own children.

Thank you for sharing this. It brought back fond memories of my mom. May God bless you today and every day!

Happy Palm Sunday!

Cute Sally.... We certainly don't need all of the thous and thines in order to talk to God--or to our friends/family.

Hope you are doing well??? How do you like that new home?
Hugs,
Betsy

Hilarious! That is sooo true.Sometimes, though I hate to admit it,I wonder if the speaker just loves to hear himself speak,or if he really prays that way!
