Blue Monday - Review: Despicable Me 2

Hello! It's Blue Monday! For complete instructions, just click here.

Once again, I urge you to check your link. Last week, a person TRIED to link in, but her link was defective. (You may have noticed that when you clicked on her link, a screen opened up that told you it was defective.) I was unable to figure out just what to do; however, I was able to send an email informing her of the problem. Unfortunately, I did not hear back from her, and to this day, her link is not working. (sigh) So, after linking in, please click on your link to be sure it's as it should be.

See what other Blue participants have to share by clicking on their photos. Make someone's day when you wish them a Happy Blue Monday!

My birthday was back in May. As a birthday present, my daughter took me to see Despicable Me 2. The movie choice was mine, and we had to wait for its release in July.

Cartoon films are not Johnny's favorite. I watched the first movie, Despicable Me, by renting it and viewing it at home one day while Johnny was gone. I loved it!  After listening to me rant and rave about this terrific movie, he decided to tag along to see the sequel.

Despicable Me 2 is a SUPER film. It's laugh-out-loud funny. It's a romance. It's an action film. Unlike many cartoons, there is a plot: Gru is recruited by the Anti-Villain League to help deal with a powerful new super criminal. He is teamed up with Lucy, seen here in a Blue coat.

The hilarious Minions had all of us laughing throughout the film. They all wear Blue overalls.

So, I give this film a big thumbs up!

Happy Blue Monday!

Hi Sally, I want to see this movie too. The first one was very funny.

We are leaving tomorrow for MI so I won't be home on Weds. to chat. We will catch up when we are home. Not sure when that will be right now.

I hope all is well with you both.
Love, Jeanne

I thought of watching Despicable Me 2 over the weekend but had to rush to another appointment when I was right in front of the cinema. Glad to know of your reaction to the film. Now I really want to watch it. Those are cute blues in the characters. Happy blue Monday, Sally.

I have to agree with Johnny: Cartoons are not my favorite things to watch either, but I can't help but be enchanted by the blues! :)

Hi Sally, It's been quite a while since I've joined blue Monday. I loved Despicable me. Such a cute story. We just may end up seeing 2 with the boys this week if it keeps raining the way it has been. I am hoping it's as good as the first one.

Hi Sally ~ I've heard that was a great movie. It sounds like fun. Happy belated Birthday.
I had an awful time linking up today - the linky just would not cooperate for some reason, but it finally worked after several tries. Very odd. I tested my link and it's there and working properly.
Thanks for hosting!

I love movies, so I will look for this one. Our daughter worked on the newly released Woody Allen film, Blue Jasmine, staring Cate Blanchett. I always look at the props and what folks are wearing, plus the music!

Sorry, late commenting, but had to mow before it got too hot.I always liked Twitty Bird and the Road Runner years ago. Have not seen any of the modern comedies. In fact, have not been to a movie in so long not sure if I would know how to act.

Thank you dear Sally for the great BLUE party this Monday and for having me. I'm liking this movie, I will make a point and see it this weekend coming; my hubby loves comedies! I love, love movies! Have a wonderful week sweet lady. Big hugs,

All my grands have seen it and enjoyed it. My youngest got scared during the previews at oh I don't remember the name of the one with the fuzzy trees from last summer. Anyway we complained about the previews and got free tickets. Anyway he was afraid to watch the previews this time because of that! Poor baby!
Well anyway I stopped in to say hi. I tried to post but something isn't working right. Don't know if it is the inter-net,blogger or what. Anyway come by and see me. I tried twice today. I have some cool blues but just no link on two different posts today. GRRR.
Have a wonderful week.

I'm posting to this meme for the first time. It was an easy choice since blue is my favourite of all the beautiful colours our world offers so generously. Thank you for doing this meme. Your front page is an impressive variety of wonderful shades of blue. Love your handsome jay and though I haven't seen the movie, I agree with you that laughter equals a big thumbs up for sure :)
