This is smiling sally's first born grandchild, Lauren, writing for her. Here is her story.

On Tuesday, December 23rd I was rushed to the emergency room with shortness of breath and chest pains. Notice it's Blue.

Look it's Blue inside and out. Notice these Blue halls and carpeting. This hospital is loaded with Blue!

Look, even the hospital gown is Blue. Please don't look too closely at the no make up or messy hair.

Jane sent me this beautiful Christmas tree from Pennsylvania. Notice the Blue ribbons! She had the florist intertwine the ribbons, just for me. She didn't realize that I'd be in the hospital! This beautiful tree was my only Christmas decoration!

My daughter-in-law, Sharon, said, "If you're going to be in the hospital for Christmas we'll bring Christmas to you!" and my son's entire family came! We were able to share gifts, laugh together, and visit.

It was truly my favorite Christmas ever!

How was your Christmas?

Happy Blue Monday!

Our granddaughter, Ara, graduated from the University of Florida this past Saturday with her Bachelor's Degree. Here's a picture of her and a friend in their caps and gowns. Ara is the one on the right. We're proud to be her grandparents!

The school colors are orange and Blue.

The moment when Ara crossed the stage as her name was called. Photo by Caeli Tolar.

Here's some Blue Christmas decorations found in our neighborhood. Some people hang ornaments from trees in their swale areas.

Here are two examples of folks who decorated their yards with faux presents, wrapped in Blue.

You have to squint, but there's several touches of Blue in Santa's train.

The color of his gloves are beautiful Blue. (That's Johnny's shadow!)

Mr. Snowman uses a Blue shovel, although I suspect he won't find much use for it in Florida!

This snowman likes his Blue scarf.

Ah, this Blue sign suggests we keep Christ in Christmas, an idea with which I agree.

Here's a string of lights; it's easy to pick our the Blue ones.

Here's my favorite . . .

Do you have any Blue decorating your outside?
