~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Driving down the road the other day, Kelly Clarkson was singing the song, "Blue Christmas." I took a picture of my car radio.You can see plenty of Blue.
Here's the lyrics.
I'll have a Blue Christmas without you
I'll be so Blue just thinking about you
Decorations of red on a green Christmas tree
Won't be the same dear, if you're not here with me
And when those Blue snowflakes start falling
That's when those Blue memories start calling
You'll be doin' all right, with your Christmas of white
But I'll have a Blue, Blue Blue Blue Christmas
You'll be doin' all right, with your Christmas of white,
But I'll have a Blue, Blue Christmas
Yesterday, Elvis came on our radio singing the same song!
I found Elvis singing it on the internet. He said that it was his favorite Christmas song! You can click here for a video of him singing it.
What's your favorite Christmas song?
Happy Blue Monday!
Hi Sally! Happy Blue Monday! I like Elvis's version of Blue Christmas.
My favorite Christmas hymn is "Oh Holy Night" and lately my granddaughter has been having me sing "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" to her quite a bit ;)
Hi Sally!
Your car radio lights so beautiful. My radio shows only white numbers ... how boring!
My favorite Christmas song is currently Hallelujah.
Have a nice week!
What a great blue choice. It's hard to pick one favourite, but I do like "White Christmas" and "Driving Home for Christmas"
Christmas music certainly doesn't make me blue! Merry Christmas (a wee bit early).
I seldom hear that song nowadays but I do remember it from many years ago; heard it sang by a church choir at a Christmas concert. Happy Monday, Sally.
Hi Sally! It's been a while since I joined in but will try my best to be better!! I even changed my blog and consolidated my two into one!
I always thought Elvis had the most beautiful voice and Blue Christmas was one of his most memorable. I'd have to say that Oh Holy Night is my favorite Christmas song!
Sally, clever blue finds. Elvis covers it the best. One of our favorites - The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole.
Hi Sally, better late then never. This week was getting ready for our Garden Club Christmas luncheon which was held today. What a big relief it is over. It was a huge success. It is a big deal and held in our Methodist church fellowship room. I organize it every year. The planning is huge and I didn't get to call you this week. Thankfully, I do not have any more big events to plan before Christmas. I still have to finish decorating and send cards. My Christmas shopping is done as well. Whew, I am so happy.
We play Christmas music constantly and I love the song Blue Christmas. I have to say your radio really does light up very blue. Smile. I am also a big fan of Elvis.
I think you will enjoy the author I featured. She is humorous and no foul language.
Lets talk on Weds.
Love, Jeanne
Hi Sally. Sorry I wasn't able to leave comments last night, but I have to sleep sometime. Of course I'm coming back to see other posts.
I like Kelly Clarkson, but it would be impossible to sing a better version than Elvis.
My favorite Christmas song right now is Faith Hill's Where Are You Christmas.
