Blue Monday - Review: Cinderella

Hello! Welcome to Blue Monday! For complete instructions, just click here.

Please leave a comment for me; I guarantee that I'll visit and leave one for you. Visit other Blue participants by clicking on their links and leaving comments. If it's too much for one day, come back later in the week. Make someone's day when you wish them a Happy Blue Monday!

Sorry I was late today. I went to see JAY LENO last night. (loved him! and forgot all about Blue Monday.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Johnny and I went to see Cinderella. Yes, we two grown adults went--without a child. Matter of fact, there were only two others inside the theater for the 4:30 showing; we practically OWNED the place!
It was my idea to go. I am a child at heart. However, we both enjoyed it. After all, it's Disney, and you can't go wrong with Disney. Throughout the film, there were flying bluebirds incorporated into the scenery. The mice, goose, and lizards look so real that I almost believed they were trained animals. Yep, I was impressed.
I'm showing some Blues from the film. The first picture is the movie's advertisement.
Lily James played the title character. Her at-home dress is Blue.
Cinderella's Blue ballgown is dreamy. (That tiny waist has caused a great deal of press. If interested, click here.
Nonso Anozie played Captain of the guard. His Blue uniform is splendid.
Here he is leading the troops on the search to find the original owner of the glass slipper. I love these Blue uniforms!
And here's the happy couple (sigh). Cinderella is dressed in a gorgeous wedding gown that is sure to be copied. Notice the delicate Blue flowers. With her is Prince Charming (Richard Madden) dressed in a soft Blue jacket.
Do you go to children's movies without a child?
I wish you a Blessed Easter!
and a
Happy Blue Monday!
Hi Sally!
Oh, I love Cinderella ... since my childhood!
I hope you do not get in trouble if you show the pictures. It is always a problem with the copyright law.
Beautiful Easter holidays with your family!
Best Regards
Anne
All pics very pretty---love the bold and the delicate blues. That wedding dress is exquisite.
I have been to several children movies without children---I loved Stuart Little. but that was several years ago.
Thanks for doing this meme!
Didn't recall blue as Cinderella's color! I always pictured her in white, gold or silver. But beautiful anyway!
Hi Sally
I've heard so many good things about this movie that I'd love to go see it! I have three young grandchildren and another on the way, so I don't have to go to a child's movie without a child---lol!
Hi Sally,
It's been awhile since I've done this and hope I followed the right paths.
Your pictures from Cinderella are lovely or should I say enchanting.
Have a Blessed Day
Hi Sally, when I posted last night I went to your site and the nail post was still up. It was after midnight but only a bit. This morning very early,I went to a kidney specialist with my older sister and was gone all morning. Thank you for linking me and I have to say, I was very scared that you might be in the hospital.
Just now I saw your Cinderella post and dearly loved the photos. I want to see the movie so much. The blues in the movie are so beautiful and so is The actress from Downton Abbey. I love her character on DA.
My company is leaving on Wednesday very early. Still, this week is crazy. It is my week for my group to work on the bazaar donations. I do it every six weeks. Then...I will finally have some time after Easter. I won't know how to act. LOL.
Happy Easter to you and yours.
Much love,
Jeanne
many blues in your movie - I thought the guys on the horses looked splendid and regal!
I now looked at the calendar, and I'm having the wrong week - it's not Easter coming Sunday, so the pic (no. 19)is wrong! Sorry! Will get another post up and see what happens...
Hi Sally,
I loooove seeing children's movies!! These are among my stress busters!
I wanted to see Cinderella after finishing work last Friday but alas! The showtime were too late for my liking. Perhaps later this week, I could try again :)
I am happy to be back to blogging and participating in various blogfests like Blue Monday.
Have a great week ahead,
Maria
