Blue Monday - Blue Blooms

Hello! Welcome to Blue Monday! For complete instructions, just click here.

Please leave a comment for me; I guarantee that I'll visit and leave one for you. Visit other Blue participants by clicking on their links and leaving comments. If it's too much for one day, come back later in the week.

Make someone's day when you wish them a Happy Blue Monday!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My daughter lives two hours north in Gainesville. This is a picture of her front porch with her firstborn, Caeli, holding my daughter's dachshund. Caeli is wearing Blue shorts. Her friend, Brittany, is wearing a Blue shirt and a Blue, print skirt. Brittany is visiting from out of town, and my daughter just had the young ladies over for lunch. Behind them are Blue plumbago plants.
Caeli also lives in Gainesville. She's earned her master's from U of F and works full time as a landscape architect with a local firm.
Here's a close-up of my daughter's Blue plumbago plants in bloom.
✻ ✻ ✻ ✻ ✻
Knowing how much I drool over Texas Bluebonnets,  La Voice sent me some seeds. Because I live in zone 9, it doesn't get cold enough to grow these wildflowers; however, Gainesville, where my daughter and granddaughter live is zone 8. Texas Bluebonnets need zone 4 - 8, so I'm passing the seeds to Caeli to plant for me. She's looking forward to the adventure!
I'm putting a picture here of the beautiful Texas Bluebonnets that I got from the internet.
Happy Blue Monday!
Good morning Sally, How sweet of LV to send you blue bonnet seeds. I love them too. The flowers you shared are pretty as well. Lets hope they will grow in Gainesville. Smile.
Busy day today. Bill is being transferred to rehab which is not far from home. He must be stronger before I can take care of him. It is a good move. He isn't mobile enough to get in and out of a car.
Love,
Jeanne
It is so nice when the grand kids go on and make something of themselves. Now day so many do not seem to care. She is a very pretty young lady and definitely one to be proud of.
Lots of lovely blues here. Your daughter's plumbago plants are beautiful—and so is your granddaughter!
I haven't seen plumbago plants before but they make a lovely backdrop for your girls. I would love to plant blue bonnets here too but our zone isn't good for them either.
This must be bluebonnet day -- I've got them in my post, too. They can be really hard to grow from seeds, but they're definitely worth the effort.
Happy Blue Monday, Sally! Hope you have a wonderful week.
Hi Sally!
In German they are sometimes called plumbago "sky flowers". Beautifully they are!
And the Bluebonnet I also like very much.
Happy Blue Monday Dear Sally!
Greetings
Hello Sally, I didn't have a nice blue for Monday (it's just a blue sky again on my postcard & it's becoming redundant) .. so I didn't link up this week. I'm happy to still see all the blues from your page though! Specially those bluebonnets. I really love all blog posts with flowers on it :D Have a nice week ahead.
