In the 1700s, ladies wore corsets, which would lace up in the front. A proper and dignified woman wore a tightly tied lace.
A proper lady is still known as "straight laced."
I have stage 3 kidney disease, and I haven't felt good since July. My kidney function dropped down to 28%, then back up to 40%. The specialist ordered a scan and later, a MRI with contrast. Contrast is dye, and it's VERY dangerous for someone with kidney disease. (The kidneys aren't able to clean out the dye, and that sometimes requires dialysis.) However, the doctor felt it was necessary; I seem to have withstood that test.
The scan and MRI showed a blockage in my bladder, such that it only empties halfway. Urine is backing up into my right kidney, causing further damage.
That's why I had minor surgery this past Tuesday. The surgery showed the urologist that I have a kidney stone and a "thing" which could be scar tissue or tumor. He took a biopsy of the "thing," and the results should come in next Tuesday when I see him. The surgeon inserted a stent, which is SUPPOSED to open the tube to allow the urine as well the kidney stone to drain.
I am thoroughly grateful for all of your prayers, love, and support. Please continue to pray as I wait for the results of the biopsy.

Sally that breaks my heart to think you are having these kind of problems. I never dreamed when you said you were having an outpatient treatment it was something like this. I feel like you are a friend I see and visit every day, so this is disturbing. Trust all the test come back great, and what they did works for you. Take care and hang in there. May the good Lord bless and keep you strong.
I'm praying for you!
You've got it! You will be in my prayers. It is good you have gotten this far with all of the challenges that have been facing you...with God's help you will face whatever comes next. Praying that it is scar tissue! Gone. Done.

I am so sorry about all of that! I am glad that the test and the surgery went well, and I hope you have a good, uneventful recovery and a good report back from the doctor next week. Take it easy and don't overdo!
Sally, I love you and am standing with you in prayer...
XO,
Sheila
Oh, Sally...I had no idea. I am praying that everything turns out positive on Tuesday. Wow, you have been through the ringer. I have only one kidney so I am super careful about check ups and any suspicious symptoms I may have with it. I wouldn't make a good organ donor!! ;-)
Get well soon.
xoxo

Sally please forgive me that I didnt know you were going through hard times. We are dealing here also. I am thankful to read about some amount of breakthrough regarding your condition. I know that healing is a long slow process but you are strong in heart and will be up in spirits in no time at all. Much love to you. I have one other thought, when that lady in the picture took off her clothes, what on earth did her body look like? Odd. lol
Love and prayers!
Regards Sally.

Sally, I've been away from blogging regularly and am so sorry to read what you are going through. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
I will definitely pray. When I was a tot, my ureters were blocked and backing up urine into my kidneys, which were rotting out.
You'll be in my prayers, Sally!

Oh, My it sounds like you have been through alot I will keep you in my prayers for good health and good results at the doctors.
Sally,
I just now read this post and my thoughts and prayers are with you. I too had what they thought was a kidney stone and my "thing" turned out to be a tumor instead. It was in my right ureter which is the tube from the kidney to the bladder. They were able to laser it out even though I signed the surgical consent for a possible removal of my kidney in case they could not. It was Grade I Squamous cell carcinoma but fully encapsulated meaning no spread to anywhere. I needed no chemo or radiation and had to go for a cystoscope every 3 months then every 6 months and now every year. That was almost 5 years ago and I am still cancer free. I pray yours is benign but should it not be, I am an example that it is not the end of the world and things will work out. I am grateful every day for the gift of time that I have been given.
Hugs,
Debbie
